I always laugh at these "doomsday preppers" because most of them have the delusion that they are Bear Grylls or Coyote Peterson and can survive an apocalypse, when in reality they'll be the first to die🤣

Very few people have the skills, resources and general know-how to survive if civilization ever collapses.

What I've found after reading or listening to men's convos about a situation like this is most of them talk about getting away with murder, assault, robbery, arson, rape and having a harem of slave women. They see an apocalypse as a chance to act on their repressed depravity.

Plus you have the imbeciles that think shooting defenseless forest animals when they are hunting is "survival skills" and think playing hours and hours of Metal Gear Solid, Serious Sam, COD and various video games somehow gives them the aptitude of knowing what to do in a crisis.🙄 Lol at these clowns

I spent the first 19 years of my life on a farm in a rural agrarian community. I know basic horticulture, animal husbandry, how to clean stables, how to throw hay, how far apart fence posts need to be. At the very least I'm no stranger to long hours of physically demanding work in adverse weather conditions. Extreme heat or cold doesn't bother me in the slightest. Men will have 983 guns but can't tell you what hardiness zone they live in.

I had a guy explain to me on a first date how he could build me a shelter, hunt and process meat, and then how he could knit me a sweater. He was an older guy who trained Marines to do hostage extraction and rappel out of helicopters onto moving ships, so he was a professional badass. I really appreciated that not only could he knit, but that he was comfortable enough to tell me about it when we first met.

That's the kind of guy who would be useful after the apocalypse.

Ha. This. Not only do I just roll my eyes when I see/hear this, I KNOW they will be utterly useless if the crap ever does truly hit the fan.

Whenever a man I'm considering dating mentions the 'end of the world' or the 'apocalypse' they always say it in a half joking manner. What they really mean is they are hoping for half a reason to let their inner violence out with no consequences.

Avoid like the plague. In the event of an apocalypse, they will not be an asset, but a huge liability.

This reminds me of a twitter thread ages ago full of dudes circlejerking over their go kits.

It was all useless shit like various knives, some money, and cell phone/ipad chargers. I think I even saw one with a pen. No food, snacks, water, nada. Bet that knife is gonna come in real handy when you’re carving bark off a tree for breakfast, Brendan.
