Literally. I’m so sick of these men who are usually Niceguys™️ who think that every woman showing them common courtesy wants to fuck them. It’s impossible to be friends with them because god forbid if they listen to your problems or do anything a friend is supposed to do they act like they’re entitled to a relationship. They’ll befriend a woman because they’re attracted to her, proceed to tell her they’re her “friend”, and then cry about getting friend zoned when she in fact wanted to be friends and was not flirting with them

The delicate tight rope walk of not 'asking for it' and avoiding murder. You can't be too friendly/open/nice, or else you're asking for it, but if being a bitch means you end up dead-- hey you deserve it for not being friendly/open/nice to men! Aka navigating the world as a woman.

Oh, and while you walk on this tight rope-- some men will mansplain how to walk the tight rope (a rope they've never walked on), others will tell you the tight rope you are walking on doesn't really exist, others will laugh at you while you walk on it.

Meanwhile, nearly all men think it's totally fine/not that bad for women to live in a world where they have to walk on tight ropes, and with no safety nets underneath either. They dig their heads in the sand, because it's easier than looking up and seeing half of humanity being made to dance like monkeys, to walk on tight ropes like they are in a circus. And that's what this world is when you're a woman-- a fucking circus.

I honestly think this is by design. Most guys probably know social cues to differentiate when a woman is interested in them and when she is just being friendly, but pretend not to be able to tell the difference. This way, they can feel justified in getting angry at women who 'lead them on' when truly the only crime she committed was rejecting them. It's learned social obliviousness.

Men get furious when women give them fake numbers or ghost them or in any other way let them down "easy".

If they get that enraged over being gently rebuffed, imagine how dangerous they'd be if you were honest and told them to fuck off, or even, god forbid, insulted them.

Women have to do this because we're infinitely more vulnerable than men. If I wasn't afraid of men maybe I'd call them small-cocked cavemen to their face as often as they call us "ugly whores" to our faces.

Dear Lord, when I'm at work at my retail job I can't even make eye contact with most males, because to them, that's their invitation to come and take up my time. I'm on the clock, I'm literally required to be nice. Sad part is that it's usually very old men who are desperate. One even started bringing me gifts, which made it become glaringly obvious that he wasn't even shopping, he was just coming in to see me.

Ah yes, the daily walking on eggshells due to the inherent ever-present danger males pose to us. Nice, but not too nice. Then they keep changing the goal posts so that whatever we women do there is some reason we deserve to be hurt or used in the eyes of men.
