I think most of the men who think their dates were just after a free meal are pretty shit at being an interesting date. “I talked about League of Legends for 2 hours and she’s not interested in going on a second date. Obviously she was only after a free meal!” And I 100% agree with Amouranth when she says that guys who claim their dealbreaker is a girl who can’t carry a conversation, are guys who can’t carry a conversation.

And this is really going down a tangent, but I’m surprised no one else has seemed to notice that like half the male population is socially awkward. Y'know? She wouldn't be complaining if this was the only thing. If all his other behavior was consistent with him respecting and valuing her she would likely put the walk in the park down to maybe him having had a bad week for money or to him actually wanting to go for a walk. Just like she did at the beginning... a walk, how intimate and romantic.

She's losing her shit and starting to go into a downward cycle of grief and pain in preparation to shoot the whole relationship in the head because this is utterly consistent with all the other stuff he has no doubt been up to, and he's no doubt continuing to lowball every occasion on which she should be receiving effort, consideration or resources. And the walk in the park just proves it was right from the start.
