My ex-husband did this. Made it impossible for me to get a job (I had a master's degree), and only gave me a debit card with enough money to grocery shop and run errands. I got pretty good with coupons and was able to save a little some weeks so occasionally I could buy a new shirt at Target or some yarn to crochet. I got desperately bored all day at home with no one to talk to and no money for any hobbies. He always complained we didn't have enough money and I was lucky he cod take care of me. When we divorced and he was forced to share financial info with me, turns out he would buy about 5 brand new video games a month, got Starbucks EVERY morning before work, and ate out lunch most days. I made him an extra portion of dinner for lunches because he said he hated standard sandwhiches and such, but I guess he was trashing them or something and just going out for lunch with his co-workers. He yelled at me once for buying a $20 hairdryer without permission when mine broke. It was the middle of winter and I was freezing trying to let my hair dry naturally.

Just a reminder ladies. Financial abuse is real. A man who makes money is not high value if he isn't willing to treat you as a real partner. I have a PhD now and make okay money while I'm building my career. My new husband makes more than me by far but we are true partners and best friends. Everything is 50/50 and we wouldn't have it any other way. But, no, I'll always work. I could never put myself in a situation again where I have no access to money.

I was disgusted until I got to the end and saw the "women are impulsive and do not know how to budget money" part, which screams incel troll. Sure enough, that very same couple picture popped up as a thumbnail on a Google suggested search for "marriage." It seems to be a stock image; taking pictures from Asian or Indian websites in order to troll people is the go-to for incels. In this case he just chose a stupidly obvious one, since a man that controlling over money and disrespectful towards his wife and kids would not bother having professional photography done of them. The name is also suspect; it looks like an amalgamation of two popular celebrities to me (probably Liam Hemsworth for the women he wants to troll and Blake Lively after his fap material).

I wouldn't be too worried about this one. Still a great example of male degeneracy, just not quite for the same reasons.
