Something I learned the hard way from a past relationship- When it comes to LVM, some will run away if you immediately set boundaries, which is great. He doesn't need to take you on his rollercoaster of drama and paint you as a crazy histrionic female when you react.

However, if you accept LVM behavior in the beginning of a relationship like hanging out at his place early on and mostly spending time there because it's convenient for him, low effort dates (netflix and chill), cooking for him and doing his laundry when he doesn't reciprocate, then he won't take you seriously when you try to set boundaries later on. If you drive to his place to see him because he is "too tired" after work to take you somewhere (even though you work the same hours as him and are always driving to see him and not the other way around), he isn't going to start taking you out for dates just because you decided enough is enough and he needs to put more effort in. He is too comfortable now. It's amazing how far they will go for a girl that doesn't give them the time of day or sets boundaries, but once a pickme has established she is a pickme then it's very hard to turn around from that. When I tried to set boundaries with my ex in terms of how he spoke to me (condescending and dismissive), he said I was "mean" to him and that's what he would tell his female friends.
