I've noticed that a lot of people on the left are entirely supportive of red/black pill talking points, as long as you rephrase them and add some contempt for men into the mix. They will balk at an influencer saying:

Women only chase after the top 1% of dudes and only want handsome millionnaires. It's impossible for an average man to date nowadays.

But they will clap like seals if a woman renders this opinion as:

Ugh, 99% of guys are such trash, they're all broke and ugly. An average man is undateable nowadays.

The idea is fine, as long as it's not believed by unsuccessful men. They don't hate the message, just the messenger.

The article is pushing contradictory narratives. On the one hand, young women are making more than men and can’t find suitable marriage partners because too many men are living in poverty. On the other hand, women are at long term risk because they still don’t earn as much as men?? This is bonkers. Women are coming out as victims no matter the scenario. Don’t make enough progress? Victims. Hit their goals and come out ahead of men? Still victims. Patriarchy wins even when women are winning.

Yeah... I don't envy the younger generation. Women's expectations of finding a high earning man to pay for their hobbies is going to run up against the hard brick wall of reality. Men have been squeezed out of college, and with it, the high earning professions. It doesn't help younger women who are getting married that a few (older) men still do well because they got in at a different time.

So what now? Are women going to choose to have the career while the man stays home with the kids because "it just makes more sense" that way? Are men going to get alimony and child support? Child custody? If collapsing birth rates in the West are any indication, seems like instead they're choosing to just opt out. Heaven forbid they take the same risks as men do! It's hard enough to support yourself, let alone be the primary breadwinner for a family, only to have it all taken away the minute that the non-primary breadwinner decides "meh, I think it's time for an upgrade." And the choice is mutual, since there doesn't seem to be a lot in it for men under current rules either.

P.S. to my mind, “hypergamy” should mean marrying/mating a lot, not “marrying up”, but that is the term they use.

I hate the narrative that women are doing better than men because more of them are college-educated. Almost every mainstream source parrots this sentiment. But yet, the rates of default from student loans are rising, the ROI of college is decreasing. Perhaps the smarter and more sensible thing to do is actually to NOT go to college (and I am saying this as a person with a Masters degree). The prescription should never be to get more men to go to college. The value of college is questionable at best and the media and women need to see value in men outside of a diploma. I can't believe how stupid the narratives are that there can be stories and news segments about 1) women going to college at higher rates than men 2) college might not be worth the cost but yet they completely fail to put 2 and 2 together and say perhaps women are not doing that great after all because of those two points. Make it make sense because it seems like the mainstream narrative is men are dumber and less successful than women because they didn’t want to buy an overpriced product.

Same thing with women purchasing a home. Single women are buying homes more than single men but like college, the ROI of buying a home is decreasing and in many markets, renting is seen as the more financially smart decision. Women themselves are making TikToks about home ownership regret. So instead of boosting the narrative that the higher rates of home ownership of single women as an accomplishment, the narrative should be women are buying homes at a higher rate than men but the caveat is often it makes more financial sense to not do it.

And you know what happens when I mention these points on Reddit? I get downvoted almost all the time.

Its worth noting though that skilled trade people in the next 10 years are going to be the middle-class and the majority of graduates will have no jobs because AI will take the average white collar job. If you're young a choosing a career right now get a trade you will be in demand.
