Last time I was on there, I saw a post about a girl mentioning that her brother was going to be radicalized because he was watching videos from the likes of Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson, specifically the ones about "owning feminists with FACTS and LOGIC".

I mean, I don't like those guys. But there's no evidence of young men being "radicalized" from watching those kinds of videos.

And there's one comment that I specifically remembered from her post. She said (paraphrased): "If my brother was potentially accused of rape, I would believe the accuser since it's statistically more likely that he raped her".

What a great sister.

It seems a bit of a mixed bag. What would be more telling is knowing what kind of comments get deleted by moderators.

I've seen posts where the majority of upvoted comments are minimizing someone's experience when they were talking about the double standards they see in the way men and women are treated.

But searching through, there was a post about how some women are mean to short men, and someone said that these women should just be left alone because of the misogyny they face. That comment got downvoted and called out.

But they seem to take a very GenZ approach to things and that's a bit out of my bag of tricks.

I clicked on a random thread, looked at the top comment.

I want you to ask yourself that honestly. Will not being in a relationship for the foreseeable future, break you as a person?

If the answer to that question is yes, then there is a very high chance that the need for relationship is a symptom of some other, deeper rooted issue in your mind.

Huh. If that's the top comment, then the community likely believes in telling people "Hey, you know that whole pyramid of needs thing. You're a broken person if you actually want that. How DARE you want companionship. Go shut up and leave women alone."

I think I'm shadow banned there.

I personally really liked the sub when it was newer but I think it's gone downhill over time.

I'm not sure what the power dynamic is with the different moderators, but just like everywhere else, there are radfem mods who have infiltrated the power structure of the sub and are not afraid to flex their muscles and punch down against people with minority opinions. It's definitely gotten worse over time as, I assume, more feminist mods have come on board and gotten comfortable abusing their power.

In my experience, anything with "bro" in it is usually something to categorically avoid.

Mid-level comments are cool and they get some good conversation going, but conversation is a bit more muted than here when it actually comes to criticizing feminism. I like it because it's a bit more reliable than here for actually uplifting conversation without being delusional and self-hating like menslib.
