Actually it's not as poor as it used to be, which is both good and bad for obvious reasons. Thinking more long-term however, North East Europe has the highest food production yields and fresh water reserves per capita, mild climate and it is not very densely populated. Global warming will fuck us all good, so there's that to consider.

You would be surprised, in many parts of former eastern block that later joined EU quality of life today can be better l. Prague, Warsava and even Bratislava(it is Slovakian capiatal and a joint city next to Vienna, Austria) can be really nice places to have a comfy life. Also, all of those countries have rather robust export oriented economies.

It can be an option, although there are differences too. Sweden is pretty cucked tbh, Norway is so-so and imo Finland is kind of based although also cucked a bit and it can get depressive af there due to cold climate and lots of dark during winter months.
