I can't get over this. Literally she is saying, without dressing it up at all, "We should have laws governing gender parity, but if the parity favours women, then its absurd those laws should still apply!"

Literally saying we need equal representation of the sexes, but only if that means equal, or more women. Its insane. Its literally insane, and stupid. How do these people not see the ridiculousness of their position??

I dont believe there should be hiring regulations based on representation, if the person is good enough for the job then they should be hired based on qualifications alone. That being said, I hope who she appointed are the best choices in their feild

Feminists are absolutely losing there shit over this.

Studies have shown both men and women view when men and women are treated literally the same as hostile to women and sexism.... women needed to be treated slightly better than men for it be viewed as equal.

This also shows feminists narcissism and entitlement. They push for laws like this, and see no harm and have no empathy for people previously affected (e.g. imagine the real world effect of quotas in academia where literally Male professors in many subjects are not allowed to be hired... on a personal level how would you get a job, you'd have to move cities or even countries etc).... however, as soon as it affects them... oh now its a problem.

Feminists in Israel, India and Nepal have blocked laws that make it possible for women to be rapists, saying WHAT ABOUT FALSE ACCUSATIONS TO WOMEN (huh feminists? I thought you said they were basically non existent right? Why the change?)

Feminist did a similar thing to this news article when they pushed for gender blind hiring. However as soon as they realised that removes the bias men were facing, and so benifitted men more the staunchly opposed it (even though regardless of outcome, gender blind is fairest right)?

Reminds of when a prominent feminist in academia (maybe someone can post the link, Christina Hoff Sommers Talked about her too) had a me too accusation against her.... all the classics she was a powerful professor, she used her power to sexually harass a younger student..... feminsits went ape shit, ran to her defence, 50 powerful feminsits signed a petition saying we need due process, both sides of story, they even victim blamed the guy.... basically all the shit they complained men do.

Or how they were fine with gender based car insurance in USA, until older women are sometimes being charged more now, so they see a problem with it now.

Or, instead of creating quotas left and right and arguing about how many women they hire, they should just hire the best suitable person for a given job and not care about gender. What? That would be truly equal and not pander to any group? Oh, my bad, I always forget this has never been about equality, at least not for the past decade or so.

Do I understand this correctly that the fine was because the latest batch of hires was a majority women, beyond the allowed percentage? But the the total number of working women is still less than the total number of working men in Paris's government?
