Weak woman: Expected, default, but can be aspirational, is praised for every strong move, is protected and helped at every turn.
Strong man: What do you want, a medal for being what you're supposed to be?
Weak man: Absolute pussy, waste of an egg, obviously a bottom feeder, "expecting" women to baby him, receives no help.
In summary: women have two ways to win, while men have... about half a way to win?

The half a way to win is that if you are a strong and successful man, it's nothing special, but at least you succeed at life.

I was just called "a pathetic man" for pointing out that the "not like other girls" feminist-created trope is actually misogynistic. After an attempt to just outright shut me down.

I'm a woman. So they tried to silence me, assumed my gender and misgendered me, stalked my post history and weaponised it with said assumption, and clearly isn't open to discussing why I think creating categories of women for the sole purpose of derision is misogynistic.

This is what you're dealing with. And then they're incredulous that women are rejecting their propaganda.

If you want to check if something is racist, substitute the race for a few different ones. If any of them sound like something inappropriate, then it’s probably racist. Same for gender. If substitute makes it sound like wrong think, it very well could be a sexist statement.

Men are expected to be strong and independent, so there's really no use in us patting ourselves on the backs. I would just like more respect for being a provider and protector from society in general.

As far as what women say about themselves, I don't mind a truly strong and independent woman. It doesn't bother me. What bothers me is when they play both sides of the fence when it suits them. Even then, I won't hate them, but I will call out their hypocrisy.

You see to me, the problem of lack of respect for men is not really the fault of the average woman. It's the fault of a virtue signaling society and media that has disregarded traditional gender roles. Men by and large are still being the traditional role of provider and protector. But women have destroyed that traditional part of themselves and it's left them empty and sad in my opinion. Also, traditional men are wising up and are being turned off by the bed hopping nature of modern women...bed hopping until they reach 30 years of age and then all of a sudden they want to be traditionally married and have kids.

How come you hear that every day? If at all, I Hear or read it in media or commercials. And yes, I cringe at it in those cases. But not because of the phrases content but because of it being blatant virtue signaling and empty Image polishing by companies. Also because "strong Independent Woman" as a phrase was used so often to promote garbage, that it lost most meaning. I am mostly refering to marketed "strong Independent female characters" in Television and movies that turned Out Just boring. Looking at you Captain Marvel.

When people say things like that, it is a mantra. It is popular in people with low self esteem, low skills, low belief in themselves need to get their self talk to "coach them" to do stuff.

"C'mon Janey, you can climb that mountain, don't give up"

Our self talk projects an image of what and where we want to be. Saying stuff like "I'm a strong, independent man" is no way misogyny, it is just self talk promoting yourself to yourself.

No, you got it right.

But specifically what those terms mean is that they are an attack on men. "independent woman" means "independent of males" of course. Specifically it is saying men are subhuman filth who dominate and oppress women, and are inherently evil from birth. And that the woman expressing her "independence" is saying "fuck men". Such an independent woman will still take men's money of course, or anything else from men as and when it's convenient to her.

Obviously I'm assuming this was said in the usual context and not in a specific context of specific empowerment or independence such as a man might also say it. But as you say correctly, that sort of usage is practically non-existent. it's not entirely non-existent though. A young man might say they're "independent" when they eg move out of their parents house and start paying for their own place to live for example.

Where are you hearing this? The main stream and social media machine deliberately shows us content that upsets us to keep us engaged. I'm a woman and I don't say those thing and rarely ever hear anyone say them unless it's like a friend going through a breakup or something. If you are hearing things that upset you constantly, it might be a sing that it's time to get some space from what ever that source is.

Most women suffer from deep rooted inferiority complex. Plus women have a lot of inborn victimhood mentality. When these combine, and you have some fraud feminist like Sheryl Sandberg or some assorted male simps egging them on, they start asserting themselves on social media with these slogans and how "women rule the world". It's to make themselves feel better, they know it is not really true.

Today's environment makes it okay to insult men, women get a natural cover. Not just from women but many white-knight men who are hoping to look good by simping for women's causes.

An observation I made that the biggest simps are usually the men who have the worst track records treating women. They have treated women like objects in their younger days, and now want to refurbish their image and reduce the guilt by loudly proclaiming on social media and events that they are "feminists" and how women should be given the keys to just about everything. I have some male relatives like this and some friends too.
