Just wanted to share information about how to get a DNA test done in NY.

I just got a DNA test done to make sure my son was really my son. No I didn't have any reason to suspect he wasn't mine. I got a test just to be 99.99% sure.

Trust is good but a DNA is better. You don't need reason to suspect the child isn't yours. Just get the test anyway. Only getting a test if you suspect something is stupid in my opinion. It is possible that she is just good at covering her tracks and you don't want to take that risk. Besides if everyone got a DNA test women wouldn't try to pull off paternity fraud as much. So it makes everyone safer. If it was the other way and we were the ones giving birth You best believe that women would be getting DNA tests and they wouldn't care how we felt about it. They they would just be talking about a woman's right to know. So we should operate the same.

Now paternity testing is legal in NY state. However at home testing isn't, which I didn't know. You can bring in the child to get tested. That was going to be hard for me because we are keeping the baby indoors until he gets his vaccinations.

So what I was able to do was order a at home test and then just drive to New Jersey to mail it out. That way I was still able to do it in secret. I also ordered it from a friend's Amazon account and used his card to pay for it. That way It wouldn't leave a paper trail that she'll be able to find later.

Just wanted to share so other men can know how to do it. Also yes the baby is mine now as proven by the DNA test. Even though I didn't doubt that he was mine it still was a big relief to have it confirmed. Now I never have to have any doubts and I can rest easy.
