Let's just go over her crime for a second:

Nikki Yovino one day decided she wanted to be spitroasted by two football players.
After her fun night, she realized that she was already kind of committed to another guy, and therefore said it was totally rape to protect her chances with him.
The two football players had to leave the school and put their educations on hold, possibly permanently.
In her sentencing, she was frequently rolling her eyes, as if it's just totally unfair that they would, like, go and like, put her in jail, and she was totally not stoked about it.

She'll serve a few months.

False rape accusers that have been convicted as guilty in the court of law should be given the same sentence as rapists.

False rape accusations are extremely egregious crimes, even if the target is not convicted, the level of damage to his life, and the undermining of jurisprudence at large are already done.

I would say 10 years without the possibility of early parole is a fair sentence. 1 year is a joke, and she probably won't even do half that much....

In Ireland the accused is only actually named once found guilty. It should be like that everywhere.

Those found guilty of false rape accusations should receive custodial sentences comparable to those found guilty of rape.

I hope the footballers sue her for every penny.

Wasn't this posted in here already? Though the one in BPT has 46k ups last I checked... too bad it's locked, the "we shouldn't prosecute" types are getting overwhelmed by people sick of the false accuser walking away free.

She only got a year, sounds like she got off pretty easy to me. However much time those men were going to get for a rape charge, she should have to do their time for lying about it. Ruining these young men’s lives and taking credibility away from real rape victims.

Problem is even when a man is found innocent of rape, even if the so called “victim” admits they lied, in then court of public opinion there’s a lot of assholes will still refer to him as a “rapist”. Once you’re accused of rape as a man, that follows and stains you for the rest of your life, Even if you’re 100% innocent.

Well. She'll be rolling her eyes behind bars for a while. I wonder how long these sentences are for getting caught falsely accusing a man. I think the sentence for getting caught should be exactly the same length of the sentence of the man had he been convicted.

I'm down voting this because it's the exact opposite of men's rights. Those 2 guys she accused would be looking at 5 - 10 years, shes gonna do 3 months max.
