"#MeToo is over if we don’t listen to ‘imperfect victims’ like Amber Heard"; Gross article denies Men can be victims of abuse & encourages people to never believe Men. Individuals such as this are why so many Men feel uncomfortable about opening up or seeking support.

Knowing the American "justice system", she'll be given a few months suspended sentence, or sent to the mental health ward. TwoX and WvP will screech "imperfect victim"

This woman deserves life with no parole

[–]IronSkywalker 232 points233 points234 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

And she'll likely end up making a fuck ton of money from weirdos hoovering up her onlyfans content

[–]CairnWD 28 points29 points30 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

OnlyFans really is the bane of modern society

[–]degustibus 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Pornography is bad news, internet porn took that to another level. It was bad enough that so many men (not going to pretend I haven't been into it) have been exposed to so much filth, now an effort to turn regular women into "sex workers".

[–]NeoNotNeo 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Destigmitizing sex is good news.

Weaponizing sex is bad news. Especially for men.

Porn like everything in life is imperfect but it’s not going anywhere.

[–]degustibus 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fisting a woman's anus and rectum until she gapes, prolapses, bleeds, suffers incontinence and may need a colostomy--- this should be stigmatized.

Beating women should be stigmatized.

Scat is not just disgusting but utterly unhealthy!

Drugs aren't going anywhere and are imperfect, but that doesn't mean we celebrate or tolerate fraudulent MDMA or pot or coke with fentanyl, ok?

There are things so unhealthy for the people that reaonsable responses include stigma, sanction, restriction, denial of profits etc.. Or just let guys rape girls and fight it out in court what the contract specified like in multiple trials now.

[–]Marty-the-monkey 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's not an unusual businessmodel for any killer, which is weird regardless of gender.

[–]beleidigtewurst 20 points21 points22 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Knowing the American "justice system", she'll be given a few months suspended sentence

Note that at this point police had already concluded that she acted in "self defense". No charges were put forward. Now victim's family is trying to change things with that elevator video.

[–]dw87190 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not surprised

Best wishes to the family of the victim, and the victim himself. They all deserve better

[–]mixing_saws 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We are ruled by some sick fucks. Hopefully the victims family gets their revenge.

[–]PactScharp 100 points101 points102 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

You're a incel misogynist for not understanding that she only killed him because she clearly must have defended herself. /s

[–]ghostlymanner4545 63 points64 points65 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

So mysoginistic to believe a man would defend himself from an almighty woman, too. How dare those men care for their lives and health.

[–]HotShotWriterDude 20 points21 points22 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not to mention incel and low-value male. The audacity! /s

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Incels and OF models are both crazy and possibly violent so

[–]greyok_ 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How dare they think they have equal rights!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Most mass sho ooters are incels. OF women and incels should just both get married. Yall are all insane. Match made in heaven lol

[–]Evening-Tale6580 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah yeah sure

[–]RavynArcadia 49 points50 points51 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The sad part is I believe this will happen.

[–]greyok_ 15 points16 points17 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah and she'll fuck the guards for special treatment and then get them all fired. Then she'll get a huge settlement and spend it all on luxury clothes and an AMG, then do coke and drink every day until she runs over some children, then get away with that too.

[–]degustibus 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Anne Heche was auditioning for the role when they called her and said they were going in a different direct with a brand new startlet from OnlyFans who was sort of a hot Aileen Wournos type.

[–]SYNONYM_CRUNCH 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

TwoX and WvP will screech "imperfect victim"

Don't forget "reactive abuse!", because the idea that a woman might actually be the instigator of abuse is entirely anathema to their world view.

[–]Aimless-Nomad 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Video of her blood soaked post the stabbing.

This girl is a legit psycho. She was abusing this guy throughout the entire relationship according to her own friends and neighbours. She wasn't even charged initially as she falsely accused him of DV and that she was acting in self defence. This worked cos vagina and also that she made repeated calls setting up a pattern.

She acted like a maniac and threatened to kill herself while in custody so she could be shifted to some mental issues cell. They let her go without charging her and guess what was the first thing she did after she got out?

Post a thot pic on her social media. Suicidal my ass.

This is her in some hotel acting perfectly normal. Reminds me of Amber Turd all over again.

Glad she got charged now. Sentence still going to be bullshit i think.

Everyone except this fringe internet community has been successfully conditioned to the men bad women good narrative pushed by the femis. It doesn't even occur to most people, even law enforcement that women are capable of violence, abuse etc.

Which is why we aren't taken seriously.

[–]moriginal -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (24 children) | Copy Link

What’s “imperfect victim”?

I sub to both of those subs and if you’re curious about my opinion- I view this the same as any other DV. She should be criminally prosecuted.

Poor dude.

[–]dw87190 39 points40 points41 points 3 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link

That's hard to believe. Your subs stood by Amber Heard, one of your imperfect victims. Amber Heard should be in prison, but your subs screech the exact opposite

[+]moriginal -9 points-8 points-7 points 3 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

My subs? They’d say MR is my sub. I’ve actually been banned from some Subs just for subbing here lol.

I hadn’t seen them be supportive of amber but that doesn’t mean some posts weren’t. I think amber got what she got, if that helps.

This has me thinking though- can one be against the patriarchy but also for mens rights? I feel like I am both.

[–]gandalfsupreme321 30 points31 points32 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Exept there isnt a patriarchy here in america anymore

[+]moriginal -26 points-25 points-24 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

You think there are no instances of patriarchal societies in America (I assume you mean USA)?

I mean, Mormonism is one example that is literally and distinctly patriarchal. What do you mean?

[–]FinnMan316 21 points22 points23 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Only the extreme sub sects of Mormonism (which extreme cults could be found in any religion) are like that. I’m friends and dated (I’m not a mormon or even Christian) Mormons and never once have they had a “patriarchy” and in fact they treat their women VERY well.

PS: to the people downvoting her how about instead of downvoting someone who wants to help us out who doesn’t necessarily agree or understand what we are saying instead try having a conversation. This is why MRA groups (tend to be) better than WRA groups because we talk about stuff instead of just ignoring them and downvoting them.

[–]moriginal 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That is not true. Mainstream Mormonism is a patriarchy. The man is literally the patriarch of the family. Women cannot hold certain leadership callings because they are women. If a woman gets a calling to have a role in the church, she must get permission from her husband before accepting the calling. When a newborn is blessed, only men can bless it, etc.

Mormonism is literally a patriarchal society.

[–]FinnMan316 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Again, I’m agreeing with you. The ONLY thing I’m saying differently than you is that that happens in the extreme side of it. I would HIGHLY recommend that you try and get to know some mormans. Now I can’t say absolutely but it appears as you are basing your opinion off of media (ie: tv shows, YT videos etc…). Which is ok, it’s also not the best as media can often times try and spin stuff for more views.

[–]moriginal 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, I know many Mormons. I have been in their house witnessing a 50 year old woman having to ask her patriarch husband if she can accept a calling. This is mainstream basic mormonsism. It’s based on a patriarchy. They literally (ask your Mormon friends) refer to the husband as the patriarch of the house.

Trust me I know Mormonism very well lol

I’d actually be curious to know if any Mormon are on this sub.

[–]dw87190 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Outside of Muslim nations, there is no patriarchy

[–]Embarrassed-Lemon-69 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

To be fair, that could also apply to a lot of other religious countries.

[–]dw87190 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago* (12 children) | Copy Link

Maybe. But Islam is the most misogynistic religion out there. If feminism was truly about equal rights, they would operate solely in Islamic nations, trying to free the only women in the world who actually experience oppression. But they don't, and that's our proof that they are nothing more than supremacist madwomen

[–]SweetAccomplished542 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If they did that they would have to hire a bunch of men to protect them.

[–]dw87190 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

True. They can't actually live without us. Similar to how the Soviets' socialist republic couldn't have functioned without the workers they treated like slaves

[–]SweetAccomplished542 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ain’t that the frikin’ truth. Hit the nail on the head with that one bud.

[–]Embarrassed-Lemon-69 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Isn’t the term “madmen”? Or am I more out of the loop than I think?

[–]dw87190 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

When talking about women who are female supremacists, I say madwomen

[–]Embarrassed-Lemon-69 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah, just checked my type predictions, it has both.

Never mind.

[–]Klutzy_Pride_5644 -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

That is a very "fox news" tale on Islam. As a well travelled atheist who has an academic interest in religion I think it its is dangerous to conflate Islam with a few specific regimes that claim they are based on Islam - kind of like using the KKK as the basis for your views on Christianity. Historically Islam has been massively progressive for women. Read up about Mohammed's provisions for women and you will see that 700AD Islam had a lot of provisions that didn't exist until 1800+ in Judao-Christian countries. Not really a MR comment except that there is some parallel between the knee-jerk comments about Islam and the ones that are made about men.

Edit: date updated 200 years so as not to take away from the core point being made

[–]thatscucktastic 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Dude, Mohammed's first revelation took place in 610 AD.

[–]Klutzy_Pride_5644 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Does that actually make my point less valid. It makes me look foolish from a certain perspective but the comment is no less valid. Imagine mistyping a number on a phone keyboard

[–]another_spiderman 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]ozurdexscaresme 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To answer your question, I believe an imperfect victim is the idea that victims shouldn't have to be perfect paragons of virtue in order to be seen as a victim also.

I learned the term from the subs in question, and I could be getting it wrong tbh.

But it's actually a good idea, if only the concept was shared across the spectrum equally. You could argue many incels and mysognists are "imperfect victims" of a society in which they feel abandoned.

Similarly, a woman who was harassed but lies about certain details might be an 'imperfect victim'.

Similar to "check your privilege", it's a really good, almost empathetic perspective which is great, but as I say, it seems to only be used one way.

“Miami State Attorney called Christian Obumseli a victim of domestic violence.”

[–]maxjets666 258 points259 points260 points 3 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

What bugs me is that it says she killed him, she MURDERED him.

[–]CroationInflation1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Murder means culpable homicide. And that needs to be proven in court to say.

[–]roninfly 17 points18 points19 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Well it’s either murder or manslaughter

[–]smug_beatz 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is cold blooded murder. Manslaughter is unintentionally killing someone

[–]guachumalakegua 29 points30 points31 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

AGAIN! it’s NOT MURDER if a woman does it! Women can’t murder!

[–]ExoWarlock9031 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It really doesnt matter its the same thing

[–]kireol1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (8 children) | Copy Link

Women in general don't ever take responsibility for their own actions. That's a male trait. Women are built to please themselves

[–]maxjets666 25 points26 points27 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I would be a hypocrite if I didn't say this. We need to specify some women. Most women I've met/interacted with aren't like this but some of them are. I get irritated when I hear someone say most men. I see where your coming from, but I don't agree with how you said it.

[–]My_Butt_Itches_24_7 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Bro you need to reword this for the sake of this community. This isn't what we are about. We don't like it when they do it to us.

[–]GambitSE 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Biggest issue here is comments like that if we want to be above the feminist reddit that do the same crap. But immaturity will run rampant on the internet so shrug.

[–]superstonkape 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

We should really rephrase this, imo at least. Maybe women are less likely to be responsible, or on a societal level women have been seen as less responsible and/or accountable for their actions for ages, so that has become a norm. I personally just don’t like generalizations though

[–]LateralThinker13 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I personally just don’t like generalizations though

You can not like them all you want - but historically, cross-culturally, women simply aren't held to the same standard of accountability and responsibility. If they were, child support and alimony would not exist. Default mother custody would not exist. Lighter sentences for the same crimes would not exist. One gender getting to blame 'mental health' and the other being generalized as a toxic gender would not exist.

But fine. You want a practical example? Go look at women's suffrage in the 20th century USA. Most WOMEN didn't want it until they got assurances that they would not face the same burden of responsibility that men took on in return for the vote - i.e. duty of the draft, and duty of public/civic service. Once that was assured to them, THEN they almost immediately got the vote.

Because women then, and feminists now, LOVE power and authority when it doesn't come with duty and responsibility. Everything they do legally is about more power and less responsibility. It's never enough - and they're destroying themselves in the process as men are finally, finally saying "I'm out".

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This isn’t true. It’s a big generalization. A LOT of women don’t, but not ALL women.

[–]Stupeflys 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She is in jail so thats good

Predicting, “Boyfriend sexually assaulted her. She stabbed him because she had been abused by men in the past, and has PTSD.”

Media will have a conniption trying to figure out whether being murdered while black outweighs the fact that he is a cis man and women need to “punch up”.

[–]ExMuzzy 76 points77 points78 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I can picture Redditors looking into her history to see which man they can blame it on, starting with her father. I feel sorry him and his parents.

[–]Ferbuggity 26 points27 points28 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The attorney claimed "Courtney is a victim of physical, emotional and mental abuse at the hands of Mr. Obumseli" based on his firm's investigation of the incident.

"We are also investigating whether Courtney was the victim of human trafficking," he added.

"Mr. Obumseli was in the act of committing a forcible felony that tragic evening last Sunday. He had previously gained access to Courtney’s apartment without permission on several occasions in the days leading up to that night," Prieto said.

Then on April 1, Miami police were dispatched to their apartment for a separate domestic call, the paper reported, citing local law enforcement sources. The officers found bruises on Clenney’s arms and legs, but no one was arrested.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/florida-model-courtney-clenney-hotel-miami

So that's the direction it's taking.

[–]PublicHost939 20 points21 points22 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

The human trafficking card, of course I should have thought of that. Why stop at PTSD when you can claim nonsense like being forced against your will to plunge a blade 3.5” into someone’s aorta by mysterious sex ring operators.

Waiting for the followup: demonic sex cult required human sacrifice; and the priest that forced her to carry out such a heinous crime was a white man after her goodies.

[–]afropunk90 37 points38 points39 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I knew a woman who caused a fatal accident while driving drunk (killed a 15 year old learning to drive with her mom on the highway and her mom had to be life flighted), and she tried to say she was “sexually assaulted” before the accident. All I could think is “so what??? she still killed someone”. She did end up getting a pretty long sentence, thankfully, but I was amazed she would even try using that as a defense. Someone died because of her selfish actions and I’m sorry but sexual assault is not an excuse for committing a crime. Also, there’s really no way to prove it. She had a previous DUI as well. It really makes me mad when women get off with lesser time than men do for the same crime. I’m a woman and I think its bullshit that women get off easier, especially when women get a slap on the wrist for being a sexual predator or use “abuse” as a defense for murder.

Some people still think Betty Broderick was justified in killing her ex husband and his new wife when she shot them while they slept. The double standards are blatantly obvious. I don’t think abuse is EVER an excuse for murder. LEAVE if you’re being abused (a term that is way too broad these days), don’t fucking murder them.

That's fucked up. Have any links?

[–]kadk216 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This article talks about how she was allegedly sexually assaulted before the crash. I think I was wrong when I said she had 1 previous DUI, and believe she had 2 (I could be wrong but can’t find an article on it). This article/video shows the father of the girl who died, Alexandra Linscott (15), speaking to the court before Paige was sentenced. She was sentenced with 40-50 years in prison, and won’t be eligible for parole for 20-25 years.

I imagine society and feminists reaction to this is:

"she needs help, not jail"

"the boyfriend must have treated her so badly"

"she was defending herself"

"her father has a lot to answer for"

etc.

That's not feminists, that's misandrist. A feminist would never say something like that, and if she does she's not a feminist, she's a dick.

Feminists are misandrists.

How could she predict it would hit him perfectly in his chest 9 times?

She's dealing with the trauma of her boyfriend being murdered, HAVE SOME GODDAMN SYMPATHY MAN!

no, that she was dealing with the trauma of her boyfriend being murdered.

That was the excuse.

He was murdered, by her, and one angle of her defense is how traumatic that experience was, for her

Murder is for men

Self defense for women

[–]Personal_Ice2327 50 points51 points52 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

First thing she is going to claim is self defense

[–]matrixislife 57 points58 points59 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

She did, they've ruled that out with the arrest. The next defense is PTSD from having murdered her boyfriend [yes, I know], or substance abuse, that being why she was in a Hawaii clinic. Her lawyer works pretty fast.

[–]Ferbuggity 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The knife evidence proves a lie to police.

The abuse in the elevator video, where he is clearly defending himself from a violent attack.

Various witnesses.

.. is what I've seen so far.

[–]matrixislife 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Apparently she claimed she threw the knife at him in self defence, but the forensics say that it was impossible for that wound to be caused like that.

Tailor, real name Courtney Clenney, additionally spoke about how she enjoys controlling her relationships, and dislikes being told how to act, as reported by TMZ.

If they don’t treat this as what it is (so far) is a case of domestic violence. This is so unfortunate, this man is gone now. She will claim mental illness and substance abuse are to blame, plus throw in some PTSD. However, the way she killed him combined with the little video we can see of him blocking her blows in an elevator camera… no. Just no. I really hope this is handled fairly and not down played.

[–]Omieye 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

See.see. right there. He laid no hands on her except to keep her back. I wish there was audio. I was at a small party at my aunt's years ago. She had this male friend and he was a big dude. Tall and buff. His girlfriend was just as tall and buff (lol) anyways I was sitting only a few feet away and then out of no where this big tough buff woman starts WAILING on his face and I mean straight punching the crap out of his face. This dude stood there with his arms crossed and took it! He calmly just stood there not like some poor dude who couldn't defend himself but he this confidence about him like he knew he could beat her ass or restrain her yet chose to not lay a hand on her. That's when my bad ass aunt came in and grabbed her by the hair dragging her across the apartment and threw her outside. The dude continued unfazed. He was very impressive. Also we all wouldn't have blamed him if he had done something to get her to stop. But he also knew he didn't have to because the women there like my aunt were bad ass and it seemed like it lasted forever but it was only a few seconds before my aunt got the crazy chick. I hope he dumped her because I don't care if you are a man who can take it, you shouldn't have to period.

Want to talk about chances of certain groups claiming SHE was a victim of DV and acted in "self defense"?

If that's not oppressed enough for you, sprinkle it with "she was raped by him" for even more dramatic effect "regularly".

PS

Oh, hell yeah: ""Obumseli was the abuser, the worst kind of abuser. He would manipulate and abuse Courtney in private when he thought no one was around,"

A lawyer for the victim's family, Larry Handfield, pressured the state attorney’s office to reopen the case after police concluded she had acted in self-defense.

We don’t know everything yet in this case. The elevator video may not be admissible in court because we don’t know what happened before this or afterwards. The way it was presented to the press during the press conference strikes me as an attempt to influence the public opinion and show her as the abuser.

The knife wound is strange. She claims she threw it from about 10feet away but according to the medical examiner it was a downward strike of about 3 inches.

They’d supposedly broken up weeks before the murder then got back together just a few days before she stabbed him.

It’s like a ‘love/hate’ relationship. They couldn’t live with or without each other.

Don’t forget that even if she’d previously been arrested for domestic battery after an incident in a Las Vegas hotel in 2020 the origin of all this was a claim she made against him of abuse in 2020. Both sides have eye witnesses who stated they saw abuse from the other partner.

Also she stayed with him and called 911. When the police arrived they stated that she was cradling him in her arms.

She had a mental breakdown and was sent to a special ward for suicidal behavior afterwards. She was in a Hawaii receiving treatment for substance abuse and PTSD so she obviously has a lot of trauma and inner demons.

Don’t forget that even the attorney admitted that there was violence from both parties in this relationship, it wasn’t just one sided from her.

I’m not defending her actions here just saying that in second degree murder cases involving a murder committed in the heat of the moment things aren’t as straightforward as they seem.

Remember this from earlier this year:

Cosplay model Melissa Turner was found guilty by a Florida jury of the second degree murder of her bf Matthew Teyssier. She was sentenced to 21 years in prison. She stabbed him in the back after a fight, then waited 4h before calling 911, and claimed self defence. Their on/off relationship was difficult.

In the Courtney Clenney case the bottom line is that no one should end up dying because of domestic abuse. There are always other possible solutions when you’re in an abusive/violent relationship. This relationship didn’t have to end up in this tragic situation.

If she gets convicted then the minimum term under Florida state law is 16.75 years and the maximum life.

This case is going to generate a media frenzy because it involves a famous social media star ( she’s not just any wannabe), race, sex, violence. Both the prosecution and the defence are going to try to influence the public opinion with different revaluations.

IMO the prosecution is going to offer her a plea deal before it gets to trial because even if the evidence against her looks damning at this stage it’s not a clear cut ‘without reasonable doubt’ case.

Just to add that I’ve been the victim of domestic violence/psychological and sexual abuse.
