Meanwhile USA is still following policies that were built 50 years ago - tender years doctrine, duluth model, sole female custody instead of counseling in high conflict couples - despite the fact that numerous studies have proven that co-parenting is the next best thing to a nuclear family all because it benefits women at the expense of children and men.

SMH. Hopefully USA will do something like this in about 30 years when we finally wake up.

As a kid of divorced parents I kinda agree until they start going to school. Because it begins to be exhausting after a while to switch between who you are living with so that is only a concern of mine

as much as i love the equality of this type of law in principle, i also love the fact that men are being forced to take on half of childcare when they did practically nothing before the divorce . The men who love and care for their children get their equal reward, and the lazy asses get their punishment .

Good on Dutch people I guess. I just wish developed Western European and Northern European countries didn't come with their own baggages - for example, rampant political correctness and feminism, hatespeech laws, worship of authority, complete distaste for any for of civil disobedience or critique of the system, and blind consumerism in the face of environmentalism.

I have no direct experience with the Netherlands, but my girlfriend spent two months there this summer, and told me a few things that made me convinced the Netherlands is no place for me.

For one, he worship of bikes, and the hatred of cars. Now, it's nice and all that they like bikes - but they WORSHIP them, placing bikers ahead of both cars AND pedestrians; and on the flipside, they despise cars. Their traffic setup gives priority to pedestrians and bikers over cars practically everywhere, and the dutch government has been spreading anti-far propaganda since the 70s.

Another thing is - faux environmentalism and hipsterism, as I mentioned before. Example - yogurt is sold in glass jars. Why? Because it doesn't pollute like plastic I guess... Except these are not exchangable jars, so you have the option of keeping it (a jar for every 2 dl of yogurt is a lot), or throwing it out... Nice. Glass is way less energy efficient than plastic.

I'm sure I could find a lot of issues over there. Ask any dutch person, and I am sure they'll have a lot to complain about. My point is - while men's rights are important, I'd rather view it as a side effect of a healthy society overall. If you have a totally feminist, PC society that throws a bone to men too, that's arguably worse than not having anything, given feminists' historical tendency to turn even pro-male legislation against men, and in their own favour.
