As a female that is frequently put in a vehicle with dudes, I am either put in the front seat, with the seat pulled all the way forward, or behind the driver, because the driver is usually designated by who is tallest. You always put tallest person and shortest person on the same side, or both in front.

This is like that idea that men should give up their seats to women on buses or commuter trains and the like. Why the fuck would (and especially, should) I do that? I worked at least as long as you did. I probably did a lot more physically tiring work. Between the two of us, I have no doubt that I've expended far more energy today than you have. My husband is a gentlemen and I love it. I never expect anyone to help me but when they do, I am very grateful and tell them.

I’m normally shorter than most people I’m around as I’m 5ft 2in, so I always choose to sit in the middle as it’s easier than making someone bigger sit in there. It can get awkward when you’re surrounded by strangers, but still I think it’s the right thing to do if you’re the smallest (unless someone else specifically requests to sit in the middle).

Tall guy here, It is perfectly acceptable to interrupt me in my office working on a project with a tight timeline to come grab something off a top shelf or move a heavy object because it is up high. But I wouldn't dare ask a woman to come move something or switch cords in a tight place because it is low.

Doesn't matter if it was physical or technical work, I have never been compensated for being bigger and stronger. But I have had the seat with leg room taken.
