Getting a (as in, any) gf isn't that hard. True.

But unlike popular belief, most men have requisites. Not many, usually just "not a mother, not much fatter and not much older than myself". But most men do have requisites.

I surely can get to a woman 2 times my weight/age and with 7 children of 6 different guys, and get her as a girlfriend. But I don't want to.

But the moment you take these normal requisites into consideration... no, getting a gf is very, very, very hard.

Getting a girlfriend isn't hard. Getting the girlfriend (the woman you actually want to commit to) is incredibly hard. There has to be:

sufficient mutual attraction
matching compatibility with general personality
matching values and life goals—including no game playing or manipulation
emotional and mental stability

That takes lots of time.

It is if you're a certain type of person who's also looking for a certain type of person. There are plenty of normies who have no problem finding and getting with other normies. For people who are a bit "weird" like me and "dance to the beat of their own drum," we don't easily mix in with the rest of the people in the middle of the bell curve. I'm nice enough that I can make friends with normal people, but that doesn't make social situations any less difficult.

I've also heard that higher intelligence is correlated with more difficulty in finding relationships. Might add that one to the "future post" list.

You'd be surprised. I've seen decently-looking short guys have trouble getting women. Height, regardless of how pointless it is in our modern era, is important to women. Being a short guy drastically reduces a man's dating pool.

Note we’re talking about the love of your life, just a healthy relationship with a person whose personality you can tolerate and are attracted to.

Even still. Most of the people I meet end up going their separate ways for one reason or another. I've had friendships dissolve for all types of reasons. The only two I currently have are my best friends, and we've been friends for almost 20 years on both sides. We don't talk all the time, but we're still there for each other.

*Casual sex is a completely different story

In most cases, a woman would have to be able to see you sexually before they could see you as anything beyond that. Otherwise, you're a kind, gentle, sweet guy that inspires no sexual attraction whatsoever. They call these guys "betabuxx."

Agreed. But for many men, just getting a GF isn't enough. It's humiliating when you've had sex with 2 women (both GFs) and your wife has been with 10. (Not that that is my scenario, but I empathize)

A lot has to do with disposable income.

The better the Cash Flow, the easier to get better looking (quality) and more (quantity) girlfriends; for marriage, relationship, or short term. Even by the hour or fractionals.

Have you seen online dating statistics? It's a total shit show if you're a guy unless you're insanely attractive.

Yes women are everywhere but they're most likely taken or not interested because they're generally way more selective than guys are. If a guy tries for anything, she'll most likely just think he's "weird/creepy".
