AF/BB is not always about "bux". The guy doesn't need to be resources rich to be a beta bux.

As a thought exercise I generalise it as benefit. Time. Emotional support. Networking. Any benefit I give to anyone is always weighed against cost. Especially when dating. This man invested in a woman but she didn’t reciprocate. 2 months is a long time to wait, before you ascertain whether you’re physically compatible. For his time what did he get in return? A few great dates? Some treasured memories? If she was as invested; what reason did she have to bang her FWB whilst dating another man? Other than benefiting from both?

I'm team exclusivity. I don't know why anyone would just assume the person you're dating (especially for only a couple of months) isn't seeing anyone else unless you've had the conversation. When I started dating my husband, we had the chat on date #2.

Women experience a variation of the Maddona/Whore complex that guys have. On one hand they love the alpha males, but on the other hand they recognize those guys are not the committing type. So they will also seek out the comfort and security of a nice guy/hubby/daddy type. "Oh it was only sex, but with you it's love" they say to spare your feelings and avail their feelings of guilt that they may have cited slutty.

Of course the guy in the linked post could have avoided all of this if he knew what he wanted and acted like a man who doesn't wait for sex. But he has been brainwashed that women control sex and so he had to play by their rules only to find out that there was some guy tapping the pussy he thought he now owned without having to wait. That guy was in control. He was an alpha male.

If you haven't agreed on being exclusive then there is no problem in fucking other people. Me and my boyfriend talked about it within a week of acknowledging that we were attracted to each other after being friends for a while. But if you don't, if you just hang out together then there's literally no reason to expect exclusivity. And waiting 2 months to go from complete stranger to fucking sounds pretty reasonable to me. The fuck body she had could have known her for way longer

Assuming that this story is true, I think that it depends upon how long she made the other guy wait for sex. Maybe the other FWB had to wait a few months after knowing each other before having sex with her too and maybe she's just the kind of person that likes to become good friends before wanting sex with someone. I think the real measure of AF/BB is the same woman treating different men differently.
