The one condition under which I'd be 100% loyal to one lover even in my prime years would be meeting the man I wanted to marry in my prime years. That's literally it. I started dating when I was 18 and I would have been happy to stay with him and never be with another guy if he had been the one, but he wasn't. So I kept dating and meeting people until I found one I wanted to marry, and then I did. The end.

no particle of my sleeping around involved "lying" or not wanting to be with one person, i cant even understand what youre asking in this garbled emotional mess. i always wanted one person, when i found one person who i liked who liked me back i always tried to make it be an LTR, and frequently did. the ltrs didnt work out for various reasons (sometimes they broke up, sometimes i broke up) and then i met and married my h--we worked out. i am 100% loyal and faithful to him and have been 100% loyal and faithful to each of my LTRs as well

okay this is a mess. you're not hateful or bashing anyone but you're "appalled" by today's women, most of them sleep around and lie, your ex was a slut who ruined your vulnerable mind etc etc and now you're looking for random internet women to tell you WHY

You said elsewhere you're 26. you are still hung up on some girl's behaviour from high school. Stop this, get off the internet and try not to dump this baggage on the next girl you meet or chances are you will never find that "truthful, honest, loyal" partner you claim to be looking for

There arent really conditions for me to stay loyal...if I'm in a relationship, I will be loyal. It has nothing to do with the guy, cheating is something I personally just wouldn't do.

I've been with my boyfriend since I was 21, and have been loyal, so I guess that's my "prime". He's an amazing guy and I love him, but even if he weren't I wouldn't cheat, cause that's just not something I'd do. I don't think you can really make someone be loyal to you, either they're that type of person or they're not. I stay with my boyfriend because I think he's a fantastic person, we get along well, and I love him. If I wasn't into him I wouldn't cheat, I'd just break up with him.

I also think you're overestimating the amount of promiscuous, cheating women out there. Most of the girls I know well haven't cheated, and one of the ones who did had a very good reason.

I'm in my 20s right now, and I would love to meet and stay with and marry someone. I've felt that way since I started dating in college. I would have been more than happy to marry my last LTR, it's just we disagreed about wanting kids.

Not really...? I'll be frank, I'm a tiny, slightly awkward woman who was once described as "the least threatening person in Britain, except maybe a literal baby." I've been more negatively impacted by my perceived harmlessness than anyone thinking I'm shady.

I have never lied or seen any reason to lie about my past wrt other men I’ve dated or slept with. Men, particularly “high value” men, don’t seem to care.

I don’t get this big question about “would you” stay with one man and be loyal when you’re young. Yes? But that kind of fairy tale idealistic story line isn’t very realistic. For me, I started dating my husband when pretty young but we had a three year break before getting back together. No disloyalty though.

If by "prime years" however you mean "in high school" well yes I did start my first relationship in high school and I did not cheat, however goddamn you can not expect teens to as be wise consistent or reliable as adults. Their brains are undeveloped and that's one of the reasons we have age of consent laws.

Both your brains were undeveloped, you could no more inspire a woman's love and loyalty than she could deliver it.

I've known girls to go on and finish high school despite having been sexually assaulted by boys who went to the same school. At the very least you could have transferred out of classes with her or to another school. Stop blaming your dropout on her. I'd be loyal and 100 percent truthful and committed to a guy that had the capacity to feel as deeply as I do. Most of my posts make me sound very cold hearted, when it's just a defense mechanism. My number one fear is putting my all into someone and them being like "So?".

Yes, I have been loyal to a single man from age 17 to 27 (now). Over the course of two boyfriends (one whose now a fiance). I don't care if men "opt out" from being my friend, because I have enough male friends as it is (very few, good ones). I'm not really worried about the perception of other men on me.

Yeah, absolutely. My older sister is literally a psychotic mess and has spent most of her adult life as a vagabond. She treated me (and most other people around her) terribly so I try to be as unlike her as possible. But as stated, she is certifiably mentally ill, not some vague "BPD woman" that pillospherians love to throw around because women apparently just can't be selfish assholes.

I was also bullied pretty hard in middle and high school so I didn't get the formative experience of the average teenage girl.

I think that the "bad bitch" is an attempt at being assertive, but in fact is actually being just plain disrespectful. And yes I have run into these.

To be honest, I did go through a promiscuous phase after my divorce, but I realized that it wasn't healthy for me. So I stopped. I must have an emotional connection with my lover for sex to be truely satisfying.

Under what conditions would I be true to one lover? There must be mutual respect. Everything else follows from this.
