Not sure how true it was for women but ever since Ben Affleck was Batman I hit the gym up like crazy to get that look. I’m not there yet but I’m no longer obese which I guess is a win for now.

This is possibly the reason you're less likely to see hot women in advertisements/billboards/magazines nowadays. Bill Burr made the point hilariously in one of his specials about how impressive it is that ugly women have mindfucked advertising into removing beautiful women. All the complaints about "unrealistic beauty standards" comes from women. You don't hear men complaining about all the unrealistic body standards pushed to men in media. Sure, it emotionally affects us inside, but as a man we can't afford to complain. We must perform.

Because what men see as ideal woman is some poor sexy housewife-maid with six kids (all sons) who spends her life pleasing her huspand. Women don't want that and critisize that "ideal". What women see as an ideal woman is closer to what men see as an ideal man (independence, mental strength, education and wisdom...)
