I know a lot of you aren't into casual, but for those of you who are, why and how? Even if you aren't, how can you imagine it being truly fine and non-harmful for to other people (if you can imagine that)?

I get that mutual respect is important, consent, communication, chemistry, etc. But if it's a one night stand kind of thing, that means he barely knows you and you barely know him. I know that there are definitely women who have/had sex with men they barely know - for example, I saw a post a while ago where women were asked about their best one night stands, and there were plenty of anecdotes shared.

What I'm interested in is how does the concept of "dehumanization" fit into that picture. Can a man see a woman as a "whole human being" while he is straight up having sex with her without knowing much about her? How? What does that mean in that context? Is humanization not about actually getting to know someone in-depth, outside of sex? Is it an attitude, a vibe, is it subtle and hard to define? Is it complicated? Can humanization be squeezed in a few hours of half-drunk interaction between strangers who will never see each other again afterwards?

Or is it that a certain amount of dehumanization is perhaps okay from time to time? Is there an ethical way to dehumanize each other?

Are men who are good at satisfying women in hookups good at humanizing women very quick without even having to know them all that much? Or is casual sex about something else, perhaps a more "universal" kind of sex that is less about individuality, where you sort of mutually use each other, but with care? Is it a bit of both? How would you put it?
