RPers: why do you object to BP?

I object to the fact that many BP members take the TBP mentality to Purple Pill Debate.

That is, the BP is (we are told) a satire site, not a place united behind any particular beliefs, and only meant to mock RPers.

Many BPers on this sub bring that here: they mock, downvote, and state that they are not actually disagreeing with any RP ideas - they're just making fun of them.

So it's not a "debate" or a conversation, it's just RPers stating "X is the case" and BPers stating "LOL he/she thinks X is the case" [downvote].

My number one objection is posting PPD comments over there. This is a debate sub, if you don't like what someone says, say it to their internet face. Don't be a coward and post there where the OP can't respond without massive down voting.
Complete disbelief in evopsych. It's one thing to criticize TRP's use of it, it's another thing to say "I bet they're the same people who believe in evopsych". Yeah, so does Harvard.
Lack of understanding of norms in the dating world exemplified by this post and this post. "She wasn't giving him any signals, what entitlement!" Yeah ok.

I object to the trolling and the scouring of our threads for "nuggets of outrage" followed by wacky posts that totally misrepresent RPW and the actual comments being made. It's like they skim with their emotions and red flag words JUMP out at them and they scurry over to their sub to make things into what they are not.

It's not so much that I object to any one aspect, as much as finding the self-righteousness annoying.

TBP likes to make fun of how awkward, developmentally challenged, weird, or whatever people on TRP are, and that the sub is a big circlejerk where everyone puts down women to feel better about themselves. And I mean ok maybe that's somewhat fair idk.

I just have this feeling that TBP is the exact same. Except substitute TRP for women. It's hard to put my finger on, but there's this sense that everyone over is so addicted to the outrage, because "at least I'm not a terper." Like the sense of community is built on putting another group down, so that everyone feels better about themselves.

/u/Agharta15 posted something interesting a few days ago about TRP that I had noticed too, which was how many individuals there cling to various ego-protecting beliefs. TBP is the exact same. Many people over there can't deal with their view of TRP being challenged, because raising themselves above it feels safe and good. Their ego can't handle it.

Anyway, I guess the reason I spend time over here is because the two subs themselves are more alike than either would care to admit.

I don't object to "BP" or "non-RP" (if we're setting aside the fact that TBP is a sub created purely for the sake of mocking RP).

Believe/follow RP principles or don't. It doesn't matter to me. I do, however, think that the conclusions that have been drawn about the RP community by the BP community are inaccurate. For instance, the notion of RPW as uneducated, incapable boot-lickers cowering before their selfish, tyrannical masters (husbands) is silly as fuck... but no amount of "objecting" or providing evidence to the contrary of this perception has helped in getting rid of it yet, so I can't say I'm spending a lot of mental or emotional energy on the issue these days.

In a previous comment, I put this opinion to the test. I sorted by top and clicked on posts which seem to describe real life experiences with red pill, in a non-satire manner.

Here is a list of 200+ vote non-satire threads from /r/TheBluePill[1] (non-exhaustive). All of them chosen from the all-time top posts, without exception. I can state with utter confidence that these people are hating on cartoony caricatures of RP even I can agree to despise. When they insult me, I don't take it personally, because I'm not even sure we're talking about the same thing. Every single one, without exception, of the non-satire descriptions of RP in the all-time top posts is objectively at odds to a absurdly broad degree with basic redpill principles. In short, it is such saturated bullshit it doesn't merit an answer.

Most of the time, they just attribute negative experiences they've had in real life to the boogeyman of the red pill. There's no shortage of posts on /r/thebluepill where some guy behaves like an ass towards some girl, and the comments are filled with a chorus of genuine sputtering outrage terps are the scourge of the earth as if we invented abuse and infiltrated society in droves to account for every last misfortune in these women's lives.

I say... none of these people would recognize him if an experienced RPer dated them for a year. I say if I told them that there's a long-time RP man in a room with them, they would not be able to call him out on his most misogynistic tactics without coming off as neurotic... They think good game is formuliac, for god's sake. They can't even describe the concept of frame.

This is a comment I have used before, and it centers around how non-RP users (meaning BP) behave not only on TBP sub, but also in PM's and on the RPW sub.

A lot of non-RP users genuinely (seem to) think that the mere fact that the RPW sub exists is an attack on their safety/sanity/ability to be happy. We do not actively recruit, we do not go to other subs and try to convince other users to come here. People drop by and ask a question, we answer. Sometimes they stick around, sometimes they don't. We have no desire to 'convince' women to adopt a RPW mentality/outlook. Despite that, we get trolled and ridiculed (which is fine, if that helps them feel better about whatever imaginary threat they see this sub as, I wish them luck). I don't care what decisions other people make, I don't have to agree with their thought processes or choices. I can disagree with what someone says without needing to change their mind.

When it comes to people that comment outside the RPW sub, I may find things obnoxious or depressing, but I don't need to charge in and start throwing my words in their faces. Now, when it comes to discussions on RP related subs (mostly RPW, but I also participate on askTRP from time to time) I discuss things, point out errors where I see them, but RPW is not a debate sub. "Free exchange of ideas to encourage understanding" is a trolling tactic that every insincere user has hoisted as their flag of justice and hope - and it's ridiculous. Go to PPD if you want to debate, snark all you want on the 'satire' and drama subs if you like - but keep your nonsense out of here.

Their displeasure/angst manifests in accusations that we (RPW users) are simultaneously:

Sock-puppet accounts run by RP males
Abused/confused women that don't know better
Fanatical shrews with crippling bitterness

Which seems odd, but okay. Those 'accusations' are actually just coping mechanisms that allow non-RP users to reconcile their discomfort with our existence/presence. We don't tout the party line of certain wildly accepted and promoted mentalities/beliefs/philosophies, and to some people that is the same as going up to them directly and saying "I think you, as a person, are a total jerk" - even though the discussion never had anything to do with them in the first place.

So they usually go between "pitying," wanting to "save" us, and being "horrified." The conviction of their belief that any and all things RP are inherently bad/evil/destructive simultaneously gives them carte blanche to say whatever they want (positive, negative etc) and go to the RPW sub for no reason other than to troll, 'fake' sincerity, and/or push for mutual discussion/respect (which really means "let me tell you all the reasons why you're wrong so I can feel better").

I know many of them do it for fun and to help minimize the effect of all the supposedly "disgusting" things they see happening on the RPW sub.

In any event, we do our best to minimize the disruption on the RPW sub, and laugh at all the interesting interpretations they concoct. Selective reading and intentionally misunderstanding anything/everything RP(W) users write are two of their biggest 'strengths.'

Maybe a little late to the party but in my experiences BP are unnecessarily obtuse. I made the innocuous statement that on average women have an easier time finding casual sex partners then men. They asked for a source.

I think they have good intentions, and are funny. It's they let those good intentions inform how they think reality is. Essentially like a lot of people they assume human nature is whatever makes them feel hopeful.

Sometimes they will critique a TRP item and it's clear they think so differently they won't let themselves understand a point.

From what I can tell the majority of /r/thebluepill are women.

The red pill as an metaphor:

Western men have been raised on Disney bullshit in regards to sexual relationships and thus have become replaceable and also disposable cogs in a broken political machine. By swallowing the red pill you as a man are standing up for yourself and your right to the pursuit of happiness.

At it's simplest form the red pill I'd simply taking back the masculinity that we as western men have forfeited.

In our metaphor there is no red, blue, or purple pill for women. I strongly believe that women have a stronger solipsist nature than men. This opinion may not necessarily be shared by other RP men, but I firmly believe a majority of attractive women have the opportunity of living in fantasy lands where they rarely have to pay for food, drinks, entertainment, and even shelter. How could somebody identify with me when I spend $50 a month on food while they have somebody who purchases fancy make for them three or more nights a week?

There is a male population of /r/thebluepill and it seems to be comprised of men who were naturals that have no idea what it's like to be ugly. These are the worst kind of men in my opinion. Men who shame other men for being less successful that then when they were lucky to win the genetic lottery.

They're hypocrites. They'd be the first to two you how shallow and awful /r/theredpill is, but they are so much worse. They see the 70,000 members of RP and call us neck beard virgins and then are deeply offended when we slut shame. They'd live for us to disappear off the face of the earth furthering the notion that men are disposable, especially those that weren't naturals.

I think they are all just insecure that if guys like us continue leaving the market for the women who would devote time to a sub like BP that one day there will be no one left who will want them. And they should be insecure as men are leaving the market and their love handles and 3 cats aren't cute.

On a different note /r/thebluepill claims to be a satire sub. I'm a big fan of satire, and I even enjoy satire at my own expense if it is in fact clever and witty. Instead /r/thebluepill seems to be a sub devoted to brigading and doxxing.
