Most women don’t want to be CEOs. That’s just a fantasy of liberal feminists. Other feminists hate capitalism so they even view female CEOs as the enemy.

The wage gap is BS. Women are often doing better or equal to men until they start prioritizing families. This a general thing, but society has idolized white collar work so much. As there is less and less laborers they will be able to demand higher and higher pay so those willing to actually do something in the world only stand to benefit.

I have two female employees.

One won't ever work full time. Too much work. He indeed has complained she would like to earn more, but she won't work extra hours. Her husband does most of the heavy lifting. She's not the only one: many women in this country work part time out of choice. The men? Those work full time.

The other employee is a hardcore feminist. Works her ass off, earns very good money for her age. But lives mental breakdown after mental breakdown because of her anxiety and drive to perform won't let her be at peace with herself.

One is entitled, the other one puts herself down.

i’m a woman who works in the trades. while i love my job and the company i currently work for, there are downsides that are not for everybody.

the hardest part is often getting your foot in the door. there is sometimes an attitude that you should just be grateful to have gotten a chance and should take whatever wage you are offered. there is often inappropriate behavior from the people you interact with. there are people who will doubt or second guess you way more than your male peers at a first glance. even in a good workplace for tradeswomen to thrive in, often outside clients can be absolute dicks about it. i show up on site and regularly get asked if i know what i’m doing before i even start working- this does not happen to my male counterparts. and for some reason, some coworkers always seem to think my job title includes secretary & maid even when we have the same job.

that said, i do agree with you that trades are a great option for women who can handle it, but i think it’s very workplace dependent. the shop i work for now is fucking awesome. they never hesitate to provide me with the tools and equipment to do the job, they’re happy to invest in me and give me chances, my opinion holds weight there. but the shop i worked before there was rife with problems- sexual harassment, massive pay discrepancies, disrespectful behavior, etc.

i wouldn’t recommend a woman get into a trade if there’s not several options for employment in that field around her so she can find a place that will value her. it’s also not for the thin-skinned.

There are over 324,921 Factory Workers currently employed in the United States. 42.5% of all Factory Workers are women, while 53.3% are men. That's really not that big of a gap.

In the past women worked as farmhands, miners, and other manual labor jobs. Only back then, they weren't paid, their pay went to their husband or father.

Women want high earning AND high status AND comfortable jobs. They don’t realise that men don’t really care what a woman’s status is - that’s what women admire in men and assume men will admire it in them also. I have a high paying job and anytime I’ve been to a luxurious and well known hotel for example it’s because some woman dragged me and put it all over IG for her friends to see - for that matter why do we never discuss that women do or control 85% of the spending.

Riiight. Have you considered that a lot of trade and manual labor jobs are incredibly toxic for anyone non-masculine, no matter their gender? Thats just my experience in a 90+% male field, any women that survives has to master the art of male shit talking, be able to talk about masculine hobbies, rip farts/burbs, ect.

In general, biological women are physically weaker and have less stamina than men. That is why I still ask my boyfriend sometimes to open a jar. That is why he is a better ditch-digger than me.

Nobody encouraged these manual labor jobs you described of when picking a career path in school.

When I was going into high school years ago we took tests that guided us into the direction we tested best for. Then we signed up for classes in highschool geared towards that direction . Then lead to classes for college etc.

However I can toss a person on their death bed around , break some ribs with CPR .lol

I’ve been in the trades for 20 years. I have no doubt that I out earn most women who don’t have a college degree.

Not only do you out earn most women with a bachelor's degree, you also out earn most women with a master's degree.

You however don't out earn other men with bachelor's or master's degree, because men choose to study things that pay well.
