Like the "I'm not like the other girls!" Mentality, but instead of in a teenager it's in an adult woman.

Virtue signaling, tearing down other women or promoting things directly contrary to the best interest of women as a whole, all for male attention.

"I'm a woman and I'm not like those mean harpy feminists I'm a good woman!"

"B-but men have issues too! Look at me I'm a woman who acknowledges men have issues! They're so important that I'm bringing it up at the first notion of women's issues!"

"I'm not like those prudish women who won't have sex whenever you want it and won't do things that hurt them! Those anti porn women are just prudes :)"

Ultimately they make themselves miserable. Because the whole goal is male approval, acceptance, attention, etc. They think men will appreciate it but in reality it's a big sign stuck to their forehead saying "abuse me".

Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, a "pick me" is a woman that goes to extreme lenghts to obtain male attention and has no problem running over other women or putting herself second as long as she is getting male attention.

Originally, it's a girl who puts down other women publicly to make herself look better to men.

Example: "You hoes seriously out there clubbing every night expecting a guy to wife you up? I'm in bed by nine to wake up to cook breakfast for my boo."

But then it can also include generic bragging on social media about being a good girlfriend.

Example: "Just got my bae a PlayStation 5 so he doesn't get bored during the confinement."

But then it also means a woman who does too much, has too little standards, usually for a mediocre boyfriend who brings nothing in return.

Example: "Why is she with that guy? She's gorgeous and he's a fat slob." "She's a pickme. For their first date he suggested Netflix and chill and she paid for the takeout. Now she drives to his place whenever he wants sex. She doesn't realize there would be tons of better guys willing to date her. She thinks she always has to do more to please this loser."

Women do things for attention all the time. There's an entire range of attention-seeking behavior from subtle to overt. You just have to know what you're looking at. It's entirely possible that you've seen some overt behavior and not even recognized it as overt behavior.

Anyway, to answer your post question, a "pick me" is a woman who makes pretty extreme efforts to get attention from men and be chosen because guys aren't approaching or flirting with them. Therefore, they have to act more obvious about their own interests to attract attention from men.

I guess a pickme (the base version anyway) is a woman who goes to extreme lengths to gain male attention. She will do his chores, consistently cook or bake for him, try sexual things she has no interest in or desire to do for him, willing to be in a FWB situation but wanting an LTR but holding on because no attention is worse. In fact I don’t even think there’s a friendship, their entire relationship is “ you up?” texts at 2am. Basically being willing to serve him or degrade herself in whatever way to get a crumb of his attention, so a female simp, without the benefit of sex because simps don’t get pussy. By all means there’s nothing wrong with doing all I mentioned above, but there has to be reciprocation, PickMes do it in the hopes of reciprocation and even without it continue to do so.

However I have notice the title thrown around by other women to bash women for doing, well, anything that isn’t the mainstream view. If you critique the actions of a woman at all, you are a pickme. One time I saw a girl defend that wearing a crop top and shorts where her ass can be seen was fine in the gym and men should just keep their eyes down, saying she needed to wear these clothes because that’s the only way she could work out. A girl commented and said she wears leggings and a loose hoodie or shirt and she also sweats and works out well, and every woman just screamed “PICKME BITCH”. She never said anything to do with men, she just said that she didn’t have to wear those clothes. If you bash OnlyFans, you’re a pickme. If you even kind of think that men aren’t bad, you’re a pickme. It has lost its meaning somewhere

Examples:

Women who have casual sex without gaining anything from it.

Women who want to control their hypergamy and shame other women for not being "chaste".

I know what they mean with the term but it’s all so extreme, I’m considered a pickmesha. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with trying to please your partner as long as there are healthy boundaries in place. The fact that I want and choose to cook and clean (he cooks and cleans as well) and that we both contribute financially to the relationship seems to be undesirable, apparently. I don’t know what type of men these women are hoping to attract acting and looking the way they do, but a man that is handsome, tall, that you can control, faithful to you only, doesn’t watch porn or want anything “kinky” (boring) is romantic, wants what you want and pays for EVERYTHING in this economy? Yeah, good luck.

I'm not the biggest fan of that term though, as it's almost always used to attack non-feminist women. Because obviously if a woman isn't a feminist she must not be genuine /s

Pickme's do exist though, they're sort of like the reverse of those guys who pretend to be feminists because they think it will help them get laid. I just think it's overused and has been taken over by feminists who can't stand the idea that not every woman shares their views.
