I actually don't know. I can't even feel that stuff because my brain is fucked up. But I can tell you what I say when I say I love someone.

That woman is as close to the top of my priority list as she can be. The only thing above her is my own sanity (Just because it is the tool I need to do everything else including taking care of the woman I love. If I could function correctly without my sanity, that woman would be at the top)

That means that everything I can do that will benefit her, as long as it doesn't fuck up with my sanity in the short or long term, I will do.

Is that self sacrificial? Maybe to an extent. I know I am willing to lose a lot in order to benefit my partner.

In my limited experience more often it's women, not men having a hard time separating philos and eros.

Too keep it sweet and short, women, when they actually fall in love tend to expect her lover to also be her best friend.

Men on the other hand don't tend expect his lover to necessarily be his best friend.

Remember what sub this is. A lot of the arguments amount to traditional gender roles good, anything else bad. This allows them to leave out that they believe there's never a good reason for a wife to leave her husband. So no matter what he does it wasn't his fault, she left because she didn't "love" her husband.

I think love kinda comes in 2 parts: feelings and actions. I believe a man can cheat on his wife and feel deep affection for her that to him feels exactly like love, but his actions are very unloving and negate the worth of his feeling. I mean if someone stabs you in the back do you really care if they like you a whole lot?

There is no male love or female love. Only love. It is a feeling, it does not change because of sex. And you need some serious birth defects to have it different.

Love is also different from sex drive, companionship and friendship. Although they are related feelings.

Expressing love and its weight in decisions that differs between sexes.

I find this bull. Men express love to women in many ways, this is but an aspect. And love is different from sexual drive. Sexual drive sometimes is mixed with love but not always. Liking it or not it is not the same, you may want to fuck whatever but love is more related to companionship, and thus, more restricted.

If a man's partner do not satisfy him sexually, he may have sex elsewhere. Love is no way near as strong as sex drive (I say and repeat, it is the strongest need not related to self-survival).

You have to admit that strength of will have limits. But love maintains itself, firm and strong unless something happen with the bond between the partners that can have to do with sexual drive, but it also can have nothing to do with it.

I do not understand what is all this fuss about, really. It is not like women and men have that different feelings. It is the weight each have that matters. Sex drive is absurdly higher in males than females, making it the strongest desire of men. That is the thing that explain most of variance. Take it into account and Its repercussions in their life experiences and you have almost no difference between sexes.

Male love is sacrificial. Whether that's naturally the case or taught, who knows.

Female love strickly a product of her tingles.

Either way, it's temporary, conditional, and fleeting. Just a chemical process to make people make babies.

And yes, a man can very much love a woman he cheats on since his physical need for sex is fundamentally different than that of a woman. Not only is it less risky but he has been trained, by evolution, his entire life to pump and dump. So he can definintely do that and still love a woman.
