As always when the sub receives a question that actually should inspire some interesting conversation, the comments section is filled with trashy BluePill comments that either miss the point entirely, or hinge on solipsism and don't know what they're talking about. #SAD.

The strength of TRP, and really most of the manosphere movement (because TRP is only one part of it) is that it explains the WHY. Yes, you can get similar information in other places, though I'd disagree with bluepills that it's abundant (anyone who's left their house in the last 30 years knows it is obviously not) but it IS out there. Giving random incel #345345 a pick up line, and telling him to stop being supplicative isn't very helpful if you don't actually know why the line works and why women specifically don't like supplication. If you instead teach men how women work on a fundamental level, and why they make the choices they make, you no longer require the teaching of anything specific, but instead, general ideas which are far more effective at helping large groups of people.

People against RP are essentially trying to combat the spread of information because they find the consequences inconvenient or offensive and would prefer we ineffectively treat the symptoms instead of the cause.

Anyone can tell someone what to do to achieve success. Hard work, persistence, observing others keenly, being the best possible version of one's self, not letting scruples get in the way.. all fairly obvious. It's not about knowledge, its whether you can inspire someone to actually DO it that matters.

Most people are rationalizing reasons not to torture themselves into a state of excellence and "well maybe people of the opposite sex are, like, nice and will accept me for me" is one of them. TRP takes that away and replaces it with good old fashioned anger. It lights a fire under the average schlub's ass.

Yeah I can see that. It's also especially why I found it interesting because it framed the male mindset and I felt empathetic towards men. I thought "did I ruin my last Relationship?" I thought "would I want my brother / future son be treated poorly by a woman?"

I realize though there is truth in TRP, it misses the mark on women. Women would want to treat their men well and with respect and love. Of course that man would need to be worthy of admiration and respect. I find the self improvement aspect of trp to be very good not just for men but for women. To improve yourself for each other is Ultimately good. Is it blue pill advice ? Yes and no. It's not because it admits love in conditional. It admits the faults in human nature which blue pill tries to side step. Though TRP can take glorious delight in the bad nature of people, it does leave somewhat of a path for people to follow if they want happy fufilling Relationships. And by bad nature I mean the nature of women / men to be shitty to each other. It sort of expects women to be bad rather than having standards outright. It seems to have the standards in a covert way. "If you're good enough, I'll drop my plates for you" but oh no don't get oneitis because it's evil right? You can be in a loving monogomous Relationship without oneitis. Trp doesn't really account for "successful" "blue pill" Relationships because that could be detrimental to their strategy. They assume men want polygyny and some men don't, surprisingly.

Look you could be a ruthless CEO all the advice is out there, some guys managed it. Their environment, their upbringing... it was all there. Why do just some people manage that? Maybe because the majority of the advice for kids goes in the opposite direction.

That would require talking to an individual, finding out his specific problems and then giving him advice on those problems.

I have yet to find any advice on r/TheRedPill that is unique, the mixture of politics in it is what makes it unique. If reading The Red Pill gives the individual the results that they wanted, then it was effective, if having a sprinkle of politics in there is what they needed to actually take action for it to be effective, then it had the same effect.

Also take in note there is almost zero concrete evidence that r/TheRedPill is effective for most of the users on there.

One thing that might make it effective is that all of the information is aggregated in one place and each category has plenty of examples provided. One thing that makes it ineffective is that readers get distracted by the idiots that post childish rants and the often ludicrous but still entertaining field reports.

I'm not really sure why so many people get so emotional about it. There's nothing in there that is very surprising if you've been out in the world interacting with people. And I'm not even really that old.

IMO, 90% of the Red Pill is recognition of hypergamy and women's disproportionate sexual power. The rest sort of falls into place around these ideas.

Most men are told the Disney fairytale Blue Pill bullshit of "just be yourself". Once this leads to a few painful experiences and a lot of lost time they find themselves looking for answers. The Red Pill isn't perfect, but it maps onto reality with pretty decent resolution.

I came to TRP through an indirect route. I was on a Canadian conservative political forum and someone mentioned how whacky the guys at ROK are so I checked that out, and someone there mentioned TRP and so I checked it out.

As I have said several times, it was largely in accord with my own experiences and conclusions. I was a teenage incel and have had various relationship issues, but after 30+ years of dealing with women I have figured a few things out. I've picked up a few pointers and it has helped to clarify my thinking.

The "phasers" can be disturbing if they make a chronic thing of it.

Let's first figure out what's unique about TRP.

Typical mainstream advice for men looks like this Men's Health article which teaches men what pickup lines to use, to take risks, to be funny, masculine and muscular.

Or even the VH1 show The Pickup Artist which featured Mystery and taught men the basics of game.

The only significant differences that become evident is that TRP relies heavily on paranoia, insecurity and misogyny in order to explain the "why" mixed with an heavy dose of alt right and anti-feminism.

So yeah maybe you need to put women in the basement in order to take them off the pedestal, but most other men can do without that and don't need all the bitter and toxic side effects of the pill because non-misogynistic mainstream advice is helpful to them.

So how exactly did it understand the mindset so well? What about it gave you superior insight towards your own feelings in this regard than other dating advice? Also how much has it helped you in this regard? Have you made any progress since reading RP? How much success have you had? What points does it get right? Do you think such advice could be easily applied to any every boy or man at all? Does it have any serious flaws that you feel hold it back? I don't think TRP's advice is supposed to be "uniquely effective." It's a general guideline. What makes it "unique" is how the person uses it.
