There seems to be a bit of conflating between 'send dick pics to unwitting recipients' and 'post dick pics in "male centered NSFW subreddits'. There's no doubt some overlap in motivation, but they don't really seem to be the same thing given one is toward a specific target, and the other is an act of display towards an unknown audience.

Some would no doubt lack the social awareness to realise their male nude would be received differently

Some would feel like they are now closer to the female posters, as their pictures appear amongst the female nude posters.

Others might feel like the female posters might see them and respond, or at least be more likely to respond than if they hadn't posted.

Others might just be proud of their nudity, and post it in the same space that they frequent to look at female nudity.

Others might do it as a semisubversive act.

Others might do it as a form of dick bombing straight guys.

Because they haven't figured out that the FBI actually catalogues these pictures and may use them as forensic evidence latter on. This is how some pedos and rapists are getting caught. A dick pic can be used like a fingerprint, each guy's penis is uniquely shaped.

Women I know tell me that just out of spite they report unwanted dick pics to the FBI's cyber crimes website where they get stored in some database in case an offending penis shows up in a picture sent to an underage girl or a revenge porn flick or a pedo video.

As to what motivates these creeps to send dick pics at all is something I can't even fathom. If they had a clue how women's brains actually work they would know that a chest picture is actually better, or simply sending a pic of what we look like wearing a good decent shirt would go a longer way to entice a woman visually. I guess they do in fact have to be creepy perverts without any social skills or even a clue as to how humans work in order to be in that sort of head space to get off on having random strangers looking at their junk online.
