It is my belief that a great many BP men and women have an incorrect view of human nature in general. 'The Blank Slate' theory of human nature is debunked and the book advocating that every man and woman starts out as a blank slate only to be molded by society is patently false. Humans in general are a mixture of their biology and their idiosyncratic environments. Ignoring our biological heritage yields a litany of false and incomplete theories of human behavior. Beauty is objective and masculinity is naturally attractive to the vast majority of fertile young women. Masculinity and femininity are two pieces of a puzzle that fit together perfectly. It is not socially constructed.

It's a pseudo-science debunked in the 1970s, as we know now there are many factors that create sociopaths, gays, and conspiracy theorists. Plus genetic predispositions to types of personalities, hell even identical twins separated at birth often end up being almost the same type of people.

The last one, about the twins, is especially interesting because I recall reading a lot about the "mystery" as to why such cases exist, with many people believing there must be a psychic link. People jumped to "psychic link" because the idea humans could have genetically-based attributes to their personality, or similar instincts, was just ludicrous, so of course the most logical assumption is ESP... Just as wrong as BP thinking, but I digress.

Blank slate is something that is still believed by a lot of people, especially people on the extreme left. That nurture alone is responsible for how people act. BP in particular is a great example of obsolete thinking, where for instance, they believe that absolutely all violence is motivated by people growing up in a violent society. Frankly, the idea is just stupid. Yes, a hell of a lot of violence happens because of environment, but all? There are no sociopaths? There are no psychopaths? Come on...

BP needs to drop the whole blank slate nonsense if they want to be taken seriously. The over-emphasis on blank slate rhetoric is instantly discrediting and BP becomes unintelligible when starting from such an incorrect foundation.
