Seriously, what kind of muppet walks along with traffic? Love the whole entitled response about her being profiled, 'hey guys, I'm just a tiny black girl who was almost raped at gun point'. I bet if this wasn't shown, she would've been on the cover of Black Folk Weekly, and had a five page pull out of her traumatic encounter that resulted in her feeling raped.

As for being profiled, her skin was completely covered, I doubt they could've saw the colour of her skin when her clothes had her covered up, she even had her hood up (no pun intended). They could only see her from behind.

This shit is why I only associate with a small group of people and I don't have a job that deals directly with the public. There will be no repercussions for her, and she's probably sticking to her story of being profiled. The way I see it, when you walk in the road flapping your arms like a bird, it's going to be addressed! if anything, they were profiling someone they thought should be 5150'ed.

Pulling the race card is no different than a woman who cries rape...unless there is video to prove otherwise, the person being accused will be branded a racist by society.

Cops stop her to tell her she should be walking on the other side of the road. She didn't get a ticket, didn't get talked down to or anything. But yet she decided to turn NOTHING into something... What the fuck? I wish I could have seen the comments on her Facebook post before it got taken down.

Over 100 likes and comments probably all bashing the Police and telling her that she shouldn't tolerate that from anyone. I wonder if those 100 people are still following her after they see the other side of the story?

I love when people blindly agree with someone without hearing the other side, I see that shit all the time.

"Just got home to find that my ex-husband ran away with the kids so the police are looking for him now."

Comments all say things like "I hope they jail him." "What a scum bag."

Then you see his status:

"Dropped the kids off an hour late tonight because I had to buy shoes for Tiffany as her mother lied and told me she bought her shoes. I called Diane and told her I was going to be late and left a message I then texted her to tell her. My iPhone shows that Diane saw the message. I dropped Tiffany off at 8:00 pm on Sunday when normally I drop her off at 7:00 pm. I get home and two cops are waiting at my house. They told me that my ex wife had called them 2 hours ago and then she just called 5 minutes ago to tell them I went home with kidnapped Tiffany. I showed the police my receipt for the shoes and showed them the text. They were pissed to see that she saw the message and then called the police a minute later. So thank you all for the rude messages. I don't like to air my laundry out on Facebook but you all KNOW me and you all KNOW Diane, and that's all I have to say about that. Look in tomorrow's paper in the Police reports and you'll see she has now gotten a citation for this incident."

I'm a white male. Twice I've had police officers drive up to me and ask me what I'm doing.

One time I was in a hurry and told them I lived in the area and was in a hurry to get to a meeting with some friends. I asked if I could help them with anything and gave them my name and address.

Another time I was in no hurry and simply walking down the sidewalk. I refused to answer any questions and gave no information. It took awhile longer while they continued to ask me what I was doing. I was calm and courteous and eventually they told me to go.

Fact of the matter is, you never know what kind of person or person's mood you're going to get. While I try to not be a pushover, I tend to live by the motto: "Don't fuck with people with guns on their hip"

so, I can see both sides of this. The police were polite, and had a real interest in stopping her to tell her its safer to walk on the other side of the road. However, why do the police need her ID for this? While she probably shouldn't have gone on the racial tyranny parade, I too would be a little concerned that a police officer asks me for my ID when the only thing i've done wrong is walk on the wrong side of the road.

Not saying, she is right because ultimately i think the cops did their job just fine, but I get the whole frustration with having to show ID for no real reason. (in my view, putting a name on the report is stupid. Why does there need to be a report for telling someone to walk on the other side of the road?)

She wasn't profiled; they couldn't tell what race she was from behind. So it certainly would have happened the same way if she'd been white.

But she has a legitimate beef about getting stopped for a trivial reason and asked for ID. That doesn't happen in a civilized country.

And she didn't provoke anything by recording the police. I would, too, and I'm white and male.

What a lot of people on the Right don't seem to get is, there is no such thing as a voluntary police encounter. (Unless the civilian sought out the cop in the first place.)

I went to UNT. Corinth PD was largely full of dickbags (repeatedly pulled over because I drove a modified car for ridiculous claims, including once by FIVE police cars for apparently doing a burn out in front of them....in an AWD car?), but these guys did handle themselves well.
