You guys broke up and he’s married. You’re hoping to be engaged to the man you’re currently seeing. There is nothing to be gained in responding to your ex and it could potentially lead to cheating. If this happened to me I just wouldn’t respond.

Personally, I would show the message to my husband (for the sake of transparency) and then block my ex without responding.

If you delete the message or simply block him, and your current boyfriend ever discovers it, then that could look bad even if you didn’t respond.

Tell the dude to move on and to have the maturity to exercise some control over his feelings. Whatever he's feeling for you, it's actually a reflection of his doubts in his present relationship. If you have no I - wait, I was going to say if you have no intentions of rekindling you're relationship then just block him ASAP, don't respond because that could cause drama and hassle and you'd be dragged into it and possibly even be seen as a homewrecker by his wife even though it'd be him who started it

But he's married! So please don't bother engaging in this because he's a grown man in a relationship with a woman who probably has no clue and thinks he loves her truly yet he's messaging his ex, another woman that he isn't over her. Full text: My high school sweetheart (27-ish M) texted me randomly and this time it’s really bothering me because I’m not sure how to respond. My mother says block him but I can’t bring myself to do it quite yet.

The last time I texted him, I reached out to say that I’d forgiven him and was happy he found a wife to love him when I couldn’t. That was maybe two years ago. His message today was more along the lines of “I’m still not over you.” Mind you, he’s married now and I’m in a relationship of 6+ months that I hope will lead to marriage. I don’t even live in the same city anymore.

I’ll copy the message into a comment below. Please let me know if it’s worth responding to or maybe even worth just blocking him and cutting off communication entirely.

PS. He stalks my LinkedIn so if I block him from texting, should I also block his LinkedIn?

I mean if he's gonna take you on and lead you provide too..I'm not sure he even understands the concept of a man with two wives..like in the 60's lots of guys took care of two families. You don't have to be a family, now if You've been with another man in that time it won't work but yeah you guys still could be bonded in some way. That's the healthy way of doing it but in this day and age I doubt his wife wont understand and will throw everything away because she doesn't understand that a man is capable of truly loving more than one woman. We're just wired differently. It'll be better if we went about things the honest and truthful way instead of lying and cheating..

I feel bad for the wife, I sort of agreed with the other person but like I said he should not of got into a marriage if he wasn't over his ex. You should also take a screenshot and tell the wife if you know her or her social media, not to cause drama just so she knows... Wouldn't you want to know? If your boyfriend is OK with it, you could respond to him and communicate you think it's inappropriate and maybe let him know he should show his wife or that you are going to show her.
