Reading this reminded me of one thing: this place is meant to be temporary. You don't want to remain here forever, with the after taste of the bitter red pill in your mouth. You want to come here, read up, get smart, and leave. This is not a resting place.
[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan 22 points23 points24 points 12 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link
Well it used to be a resting place, you could some here and have frank discussions with people and not get censored, a lot of RPers are surrounded by bluepillers and TRP is/was a great place to come and say what you really think rather than conform to the bullshit of society on a daily basis.
In the early days most people on TRP had swallowed the pill and were on their journey of self-improvement, bitterness was minimal and was mostly divorced guys, people would sit here and shoot the shit, it was not only informative but entertaining, there was little bitterness and bitching and not many blue pill examples (and the ones that were there were good examples of relationships from /r/relationships or a personal anecdote fully dissected, not merely links to redditlog with zero or feeble analysis.) As the sub has grown and more people have attached themselves to it that aren't actually fully RP yet, there are less FRs/theory and more MRA and BP examples.
It's easier to post a BP example or MRA post, posting an FR means actually applying TRP to your life and practicing it, theorising means much of the same thing as well as building on what you already know. A lot of people posting should really just be lurking, they bring the signal down with attitude problems and a lack of knowledge.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yep. The major shift away from FR's happened 3-4 months ago, and TRP just hasn't been the same. The only subreddits I have seen that manage to hold on to a hit of that essence would be r/becomeaman and r/alreadyred. The stricter rules and harsher mods are probably the only thing keeping this sub from descending into keyboard jockey hell like r/asktrp.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I find that if I don't come here, and take my daily dose of TheRedPill I start reverting back to the blue. Sometimes I find myself lamenting on getting a wife for example, but a minute on here gets me thinking rationally about my life again, and moving on.
[–]guymanthing 102 points103 points104 points 12 years ago (48 children) | Copy Link
This is why I'm glad to be discovering the red pill at the ripe age of 16. In the last 2 months I've been more personally successful and happy I've been in years.
[–][deleted] 70 points71 points72 points 12 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
Lucky you. I discovered this at 31.
[–]dreckmal 66 points67 points68 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Me too man... But, there are two good times to plant a tree. 20 years ago, and right the fuck now.
[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Agreed. Besides which, A man's early to late 30's is his heyday. It's a great time to learn about TRP. :)
[–]guymanthing 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm more than lucky, I'm blessed for finding this at this age
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
so how did you spend your 20s?
[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Well, I almost got married during my early 20's before that fell through. Then I decided to go to college to appease my inner wishes to "make something of myself". All the while I made friends, worked out, banged several women of varying sexual value and then graduated. Thing is, during this time, I was still clinging to BP values (eg. Love, singledom being a shame in the eyes of my peers, feminism and what have you).
Discovering this makes me glad I'm a 30-something, single and still somewhat attractive. That said, I wish I discovered this information sooner.
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
ah it's okay, at least you pursued higher education and weren't sexless. sounds like TRP made a good person into an even better person. your initial comment sounded so sad lol. happy for you brah

Don't sing high praises just yet. I'm still working a mediocre job and I've had a dry spell for a little while now. I may have a solid foundation, but, remember, I've subscribed to this sub for a reason. :)

[–]rpdoomed 18 points18 points18 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
I've always had a lot of dominant, RP style tendencies, but I didn't understand them very well. Yay for having a good father. I always felt semi-out of place in my group of friends. I was getting laid, they were not, and sometimes they were bitter towards me about it. Then I found TRP, and what a change that has been. Some of these ideas I've considered, but now I understand why they work. This place is a great starting point, and it allowed to me to put into words what I could only theorize in my head.
As a coach, it has helped me teach high school kids your age the truth; slowly, but surely. I may not be at the same age as you (25), but I'm glad I can be there to positively influence their lives so they don't end up like the guy in this story.
[–]guymanthing 19 points20 points21 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
My dad's the classic beta bux. He nets 300k a year and the only reason my dad is married is because my mom wanted someone to take care of her as she aged. They both got married at an old age which is why I'm adopted; my mom couldn't bear children. I have learned everything I know about women from personal experience with them and have applied Red Pill thinking with great success in that area of my life.
Believe me, high school is the easiest proving ground for Red Pill ideology. Everything works like it's supposed to and the women are high in numbers and hormones.
[–]rpdoomed18 points 12 years ago [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link
As an adult, I see it in a lot of other adults. The head coach is constantly telling me thing like "My wife rules the roost...." or "My said we're going to do (insert action here)" or, my personal favorite "I can't use my hotel points because my wife already has plans for them."
Never, not even once, should we put up with that.
[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
careful there about hotel points. that's rather trivial. standing your ground and holding the power in the relationship is important but bitching over stupid shit 24/7 is not ideal. don't make your wife's chewing the last piece of juicy fruit a power game...some thing are not worth it
[–][deleted] 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
[permanently deleted]
well when you put it that way, I have to agree. but at the same time let's assume the hotel points were accumulated by both the man and the woman's combined money. in this scenario then, neither party should be able to claim the points for themselves. so it should come down to a compromise, with neither party receiving less than the other.
so to address your statement about compromise, the only compromise that a man should agree to are those that are fair. he should not compromise just to comply with the woman's demands.

You have a big responsibility. I wonder what is your methodology for getting through to these kids. It can be a taboo subject but I think a lot of guys on here would have loved to have a mentor at that age that taught them as much as possible. Do you ever assign books or websites such as RSD to them. Or do you just have a relationship where they can ask you about these things?
[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I really do envy you for finding this so early. Not only will you get to fully enjoy more of your life, but you also won't need to waste years "de-programming" yourself of deeply ingrained false beliefs and bad habits. Make the most of it!

14 here. Lift. Not just bench press, squat and deadlift and do push-ups. Start to learn a new language. Not just in school, start with duolingo and then find native speakers and talk to them. I've learned more Italian in 3 months of dedication than 4 years of school Spanish. Read, doesn't matter what, but read. Talk to girls, but don't worry about rejection. You WILL make mistakes, but the mistakes will become less frequent. When I started, I probably talk to about 20 girls before hit off with one. Now I'm at almost 50%. Oh and use acne cream and get a real fucking haircut.

"be a ballsy motherfucker"
Damn straight. Carry 'em in a wheelbarrow.
I discovered it at the age of 21. except my discovery wasn't of red pill. it was of PUA materials and an older, more mature buddy of mine who pushed me and gave me proper advice - both of which somewhat echo red pill concepts. from there, I got relationships, sex, attention, etc.
I feel for the boy in the story because that was me for long time. I could have suffered the same fate as him.

I was lucky enough to be raised in a RP family and so it's something I've always taken for granted. It really began to take shape noticeably when I was 16. I'm 26 now.
How would you say you're handling it so far? Let's swap stories.
[–]guymanthing 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I'm doing well in high school. One thing that I've done is I've used my know how and extensive knowledge of science to start distilling hard liquor for school parties. How does this tie in you may ask? My ability to provide cheap, custom liquor for colleagues has brought me into the inner circles of the "in crowd." Want a tangerine flavored vodka? You got it. Want a bottle of pure 180 proof moonshine? I can do that. It has also provided a steady source of income for me as I currently do not have a job. The hobby itself inflates people's perceptions of my intelligence while also adding value to me as a person as the by product of my hobby is a useful and high quality product others value. All in all, it's another thing I can add to the list of "what I produce for society" and people love it.
How are things going with you?
[–]Kekeramitu 16 points17 points18 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Every time I read something like this I'm reminded that this shit is true. I'm lucky, I'm 22 and I'm not that bad off in terms of upbringing. I found TRP when I was 21, but I knew something was up earlier. Now, after a bad experience with trying to tell someone what they were doing wrong, I have to watch young men hide their unhappiness without being able to help them, unless they are a very close friend.

Remember the Matrix analogy: in the movie, they warn that most of the people who are plugged in will resist or even fight you for threatening their conception of reality.
[–]southernfriedcode 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It goes even farther than that doesn't it? I thought the quote was something like until they are released they are your enemies.
EDIT: Here's the quote: "The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around. What do you see. Business men, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system, and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependent on the system that they will fight to protect it"
Pretty spot-on I'd say.

God this is beautiful. I hate to say it but it feels religious, almost spiritual. All I wanted to do after reading this was to share it to Facebook, or yell it from the rooftops but then of course the fear came in. The last paragraph hit hard.

Glad to hear it. Through that entire story, I was expecting him to take a sharp turn towards becoming more in charge and in commands, but it never happened... 20, 30, 40... No change and no results. It really drives home that you need to change to see any difference in your life and that this is the path of those who never learn and never grow.

Sometimes I read things like this and feel that sense of family too.. Its an incredible comfort to connect with other men in a world where we establish so few connections with each other.
And i think it unlocks something in all of us.. that primal male that has been so badly beaten down. Its like a strong masculine hand reaching down and pulling you out of that fucking terrible hole.. it feels good brothers.

I think it's better to change your actions and behavior instead of shouting it out to the world. they will not accept these ideas. not yet. but we can change ourselves. and lend a piece of advice to our closest friends from time to time without preaching. we must also teach our sons. these things are within our power to do, convincing the stubborn world is not.

or bang the women who rejected you in your 20s who are still mildly attractive. then realize you're doing all this to satisfy your ego, your self-image. and you'll eventually come to pity these older women as their worlds come crashing down, much like their breasts. then you'll go back to banging younger women. so moral of the story, bang younger attractive women. jk. do with your red pill shaft as you please.

It's like a grand retelling of my entire life, being 30 and suicidal and all. I don't know where I'd be if there was no TRP, or even if I'd still be around anymore. By the time I got here I had already lost the will to continue with my life.
I couldn't understand why, no matter how nice I was, no matter how kind, funny, easy-going and good I was around girls, that none of them ever thought much of me... nothing more than just a friend. I would hear them complain about men, demanding more time and attention from them and I would give them my all. I would always go above and beyond for every girl that would "Best Friend" me. Hell for one girl who was a vegan, I tried to impress her by cooking her vegan Italian food. She slept with another guy later that night, I wept to myself alone.
It wasn't until I met the guy that my blue pill world was shattered. I was so delusional in blue pill that I thought this guy was even nicer than me, even kinder and more sweeter/wonderful than me... that must be it because she chose him over me. I was stunned when I was first introduced to him that he immediately started treating her like crap, like she was a dog. He wouldn't put up with her and would act like he would just leave if she didn't behave the way he wanted her to. He would act like he doesn't care and be unimpressed by her trying to get attention from him. I couldn't believe it. My brain literally could not process what was going on. He would treat her like crap, make fun of her and criticize her and instead of her being upset it would turn her on even more. It made no sense, literally no sense. It went against everything I had ever learned. If everything I had ever learned doesn't work again and again, but what I am seeing before me IS working, then it only means that everything I thought I knew was just a lie.
I lived the first 29 years of my life in the blue pill world until I was force-fed the truth in the worst way, watching her fall in love with an asshole that doesn't even care about her, giving him the care and affection that she never gave me. When I ask questions why being a "nice guy" doesn't work I would be thrown under the bus and shamed for trying to trick girls into sex. They would label us as creeps while they would sleep with men who wouldn't give them anything unless they had sex with them. They would rather sacrifice nice guys like me to keep the blue pill lie going than attempt to give answers why it never works.
I honestly do not believe girls anymore when they say they like nice guys. When they do, I imagine the other guy to have this look of terror on his face, scared of her while she screams and nags at him, digs her nails deep into his insecurities, all while Mr. Nice Guy is too scared of breaking his image of being a wonderful nice guy and continues providing for a woman that doesn't respect him.
Bonus:
I was at a party last week and I was listening a girl who was complaining about a man she just met. They only had one dinner together and she's already sleeping with him but he won't spend any time with her. She was complaining about how he's just using her for sex and talked about how much of a dick he is, but every so often she would get a text and she would flip her shit hoping it's him. When it's not, she would continue rambling about how she wants a man who will give her the time and attention she needs and when she gets another text she would flip her shit and hope it's him again. Ha. Ha. Ha.

Great article. According to feminists being a white male in and of itself is bad, but being a white male who wants to be successful in their career and with women is tantamount to being a Nazi.
Unless of course you're one of the very few of us who've won the '6.2", full head of hair, attractive face and good physic lottery.' Anyone else needs to work at it, and the very act of working at being a better man is somehow frowned upon by these cretins even though it's what makes us attractive to them, like wtf?
What's described in this article is the path of almost everyone I knew growing up until people luckily wised up in their early 20's. (Scotland here so feminism hasn't quite infiltrated as far as it has in the US). I imagine if feminists could get away with chemically castrating all males over the age of 12 until they're legally unbound by the will of a female who's deemed them attractive enough they'd do it, literally.
Though in the aggregate, we as men are the ones to blame for allowing things to go this far.

The boy knows he feels attracted to women, but he subconsciously recognizes that heterosexuality is considered boring, uncool, and vaguely immoral, while homosexuality is an easy path to social recognition, encouragement, and a coherent group identity.
Is that guy fucking serious.
I mean, I kind of follow on the point of Group identity, being part of a minority always allows you joining specific social circles more easily but we're certainly not living in a world in which being homosexual is in any way preferable over being heterosexual (in terms of having a good/easy life). That is unless you make it your life's goal to be popular on Tumblr.
[–]xantris 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I think on the wider political landscape (ie media) it is correct. I think on a more personal day to day level, you are correct in that being homosexual leads to a lot of day to day negativity.
A lot of it always depends on the environment. Being a guy gay in Oklahoma and being a gay guy in San Francisco are two entirely different things.
Yea, that's probably accurate. I'm from a rural/religious area so my perception of this issue might be skewed. We didn't really have openly gay people either, I only know of one gay guy who graduated high-school with me and he didn't come out until afterward.
[–]subtlegorilla 28 points29 points30 points 12 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
Yes, he's completely serious. Haven't you being paying attention to society for the last 5-10 years? Being a heterosexual male, especially a white male, is seen as a terrible thing and the source of all the worlds problems.
Remember, you, as a white male (if you're a white male) are responsible for - DUN DUN DUN! Economic inequality, the holocaust, all wars, patriarchy, the banking crisis, all rape everywhere (even in Africa), guns killing people, drugs killing people, all 'hate crime', windows 98, sexism, racism, antisemitism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, arachnophobia etc.
If however you're a homosexual (whom I have nothing against), transsexual, LGBTUVWXYZ etc then you're a 'hero' merely for existing and having the 'courage' to say you exist publicly.

Yea, on fucking Tumblr.
Teens being bullied for being gay is still a thing, Homosexual Adults being considered "weird" as well, gay marriage is still not a thing in most places and many more. I agree with most of the rest of that article but this one paragraph is a fucking joke.
[–]Immuchtooawesome8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
It sounds like the author is from an inner city of some sort.
Most large metropolitan areas have a huge LGBT community or district. I've noticed within my circles that as no matter the hate you might get from the outsiders, the LGBT community is very accepting and loving of everyone.
is an easy path to social recognition, encouragement, and a coherent group identity
Being a supporting activist or a homosexual gets you all of these plus all the hate while being considered "weird" as well. Although it's not an ideal situation, I think it beats living in the corner as a BB bitch being bitter as fuck like the author implies.
Anectdotally speaking, I've had several friends come out of the closet. Two things followed, each time. 1- The LGBT circles added loads of friends to their social circle. 2- Most women understand the man will not be interested in them ever, so BAM instant friends as well. No AF or BB to consider. This, in turn, has skyrocketed their social success and ability to meet new mates!
Cool for them. It's DEFINITELY not the same way for heterosexual men. You flaunt your sexuality as a hetero male and the shame flows from all directions.
I don't think that the author was trying to say "Homosexuals have it easy" but more so that "Homosexuals have a really nice advantage socially when meeting open minded people"
That paragraph stuck a chord with me since from my outsider perspective it LOOKS like it's easier to get laid as a gay man than a straight man. I am pretty damn sure that that is a misconception but at first glance (when I was in middle school) I was very angry at the world for being the way it was. I was in 8th grade at the time. That's the same age group the author wrote for that paragraph.
[–]chakravanti93 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Getting laid with zero game is easy if you're gay.
That's actually pretty insightful.
[–]gprime312 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No, you're right. It's extremely easy to get ass if you're gay. As long as you're not morbidly obese or lack a penis, you'll find someone to fool around with.

I don't disagree with this article, at least in sentiment, but could we stop with this bullshit:
The boy wants to run, play, and wrestle. He wants to compete with other boys, explore, take risks, and get hurt. He wants to test the limits of his young body. He wants to be a boy, but this will not be allowed.
Where boys are said to have an 'educational style' that revolves around physical activity and blah blah blah. Boys used to have no problem sitting in a classroom and learning Greek and Latin. I don't think the problem is a lack of sentimentalized boyhood, but a lack of rigor, discipline and challenge in the curriculum.
[–][deleted] 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
[–][deleted] -5 points-4 points-3 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
Activity is like sleep, it's necessary but secondary to education. I also don't think anywhere in public education today is there actual rigor, discipline or challenge. Boys in the 18th century could repeat entire sermons word for word after hearing them. They studied formal logic, learned seven languages, and memorized the Bible in its entirety.
[–]Endless_Summer 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's because it was beat into them through corporal punishment. Please reevaluate your opinion on this.
[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
As I said in another comment, not all the boys, the upper crust of society did that. That was an era when reading was still considered a mark of an enlightened man. Literacy rates have gone way up since then, but the socioeconomic average of the individuals who comprise this demographic are way down. In the 1700s, it was not everybody reading and writing romantic poetry, it was only the rich or the very lucky. You still have very rich parents putting their kids through Montessori schools and whatnot, getting better education than the working class, but what constitutes a good school has had to change more in the last three centuries than your post lets on.

This is actually wrong. I would recommend John Brewer's "Pleasures of the Imagination". Your version of the 18th century is more 8th grade social studies class than real history. The majority of the population of England for example was literate by 1730 and upwards of 80% were by 1780. There was a vibrant, literate, art appreciating middle class that comprised more than a quarter of the population and this 'upper crust' of society was actually the engine of artistic creation and consumption during the century. Education was extremely flexible, much more economically efficient, and the sort of education I'm talking about actually cost less per capita than today's public schooling.
Everytime I recommend the educational standards and institutions of the 18th century there's inevitably someone who comes in with this tired old "but only the very rich could afford learning then" shtick, but it's basis in actual history is questionable. It's mostly just Progressive myth making about the mean old aristocracy and the triumph of populist democracy over elitism.

I'm a colonist, not an islander. We were farmers and lower class workers.
[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Uh huh... Well, best stick to farming then because history sure isn't your strong suit.
Generous estimates of literacy rates put America at 70% in 1776. Today's is 99%. If you don't think almost a third of your population is a huge difference you should focus on your history, because demographics sure isn't your strong suit.

I agree with you, boys are great at sitting still and learning. But they need competition, and the ability to push their limits, both of which are denied in an education system that focuses on the bottom 20%. Maybe that paragraph should have been clearer.
[–]889889771 -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
There are many opportunities (at least where I live) in the education system to enter more challenging programs geared towards pushing limits.

That, but also very poor nutrition is causing all sorts of issues, as is bad parenting and technology. Technology has helped destroy the brain's reward centers so people, not just children, are literally drug addicts to their brain's dopamine injects that they get from the internet, smart phones, and computers/gaming systems that has entertainment/emotional pleasure at the touch of a button; internet addiction is real, which is why people go through withdrawals at losing access and retreat facilities have a no-technology policy these days. We've literally lost the ability to be bored and concentrate due to the hyperactive brains we are building due to constant access to technology and information.
[–]jkonine 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Seriously. I'm a baseball coach. I work with kids from ages 5-21 year old division one athletes preparing to be drafted.
The only way you can teach boys at a young age is to simply not allow them to get bored. If they get bored, it's on you because you're either not challenging them, or you just aren't giving them anything to do.
And a bored 6 year old boy is nothing but trouble. So you just don't let that happen.
Teachers are given a license to be lazy these days, and its much easier to put a kid on speed then it is to actually engage them.
[–]John_the_Piper 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Id agree. That was just about the only thing I found I disagreed with. I even had teachers tell me that they weren't allowed to push and teach us the way we deserved.
[–]Psycho_Delic 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Just because something has a sucess rate, doesn't mean its not a system that can't be improved upon. Denying that males do have differences on every level won't help anything.
More than that it's the spread of education. Education used to be only for the upper crust of society not too long ago. Public education is a new frontier as far as society is concerned.

Powerfull post!
What really hit home for me was finding TRP and being the same bum!
I have been on here, started my journey to self improvement, and put it on hold because exams and other made up reasons. There is no reason, there is no higher priority than bettering your self.
I am disappointed in my self because I can find excuses. I am a male hamster. I stopped following my diet. I stopped going to the gym. And I stopped learning piano. However, I will NEVER quit! I have been back in the gym for 1 week. I am still hamstering over my diet and piano lessons. But I will never quit. My only contribution to this planet will not be just my rotting body in a pit. No I am not a dent in the worlds resources for no reason, like every other western man has been programmed to do so.
I will skew. I will slack off again. But I will not quit. That's what makes me a man. That is why I am better than any other woman.

This is depressing yet cathartic; like watching myself grow up and make all the wrong choices. Now here I am; facing down 30 and only just realizing in the last 6 months the shit I've been doing wrong the last 30 years.
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
The 'Boy' in this story needs to accept he sucks shit and expect nothing. He needs to cultivate hobbies and a sense of mission besides women before getting out on the prowl. It gets better.
Yeah no problem. That's why this place exists. Although I was never 400lbs (I still weigh more than I want, but I've been working out seriously for a 1yr+. Anyways...) I myself hit rock bottom a couple years ago.
This happened when I saw that I wasn't closing (I was still getting numbers and make-outs) like my natural roommate/mentor my senior year of college. I began to see that problem ran really fucking deep and I was going to need to develop myself (have a fucking mission and stick to it, work a fuck ton on inner game, have marketable hobbies....) before any women would choose to like me.
I accepted I sucked shit and had to start to build myself up from ground zero regardless of women. I luckily met my ex a few weeks later (that shit shouldn't have happened in the state that I was in, but it did)
After hitting rock bottom, the only way to go is up. You either change or die.

You know I really don't know what the solution is for self pity and a persecution complex. Life is not fair and shit happens. Movies are dreams not reality. Nobody can do your thinking for you. This is it. There is nothing else. There are no tricks to being a human being. The way you want things to be is not always the way they are, this is nobody's fault and it is probably a good thing. You can spend your life howling at the moon or you can just get to work and try to leave the place a little better than you found it.

I think a lot of guys can relate to this article. It hits really close to home for a lot of us. I remember showing my best friend "The Art of Seduction" and he wanted to "have a talk with me." He said that I shouldn't be reading it and it's basically a guide to manipulate people. I told him he should read it. He told me he didn't like to read. I laughed. I showed my girlfriend the book one time. She hated it. She skimmed through and said some typical 2xchromosome stuff. From then on every time we got into a fight she would say something like, "Why don't you go use your books to get a different girlfriend..." O well...

I like that this piece actually tried to empathize with and understand Rodgers (for whom "the red pill" was on the tip of his tongue), rather than demonize and try to distance him as "not red pill" as so many commenters here did in a knee-jerk reaction immediately after the events, despite having felt the same kind of pain at one point in their lives. Kudos.

I desperately wish there was a version of this that didn't use such charged language in certain parts. I really, really want to link this to my Facebook wall, but the third paragraph utters the phrase "feminist educrats", which will alienate 99% of my Facebook friends.
OP/author, could you please consider revising this or linking a version that sounds less combatitive? I think you've hit some gold here. This is beautiful and brilliant. Please help us spread it.
Not bad, aside from the circumcision opening, which is not even an issue in my mind. I don't know. To me it seems Baby Boy has given over far too much importance to females. Too much need for their approval to validate his existence. Baby Boy needs to build his own life. And let a female into it if he chooses.
[–]cooltrip 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
So fucking beautiful, this is so fucking beautiful...
Then many boys like the story's one, who were considering suicide too, affectedly and in tears start to consult r/theredpill on how to succeed with girls as the true, proud, valuable and powerful men they were born, and then they read:
Approach girls.
Then these boys recall that girls at the high school are always the ones to approach the handsome Alpha jerk they want to have sex with. And this is when these boys proceed with their plans of killing themselves, or maybe someone else.

Overly dramatic opening paragraph, the first person a baby boy meets is the doctor circumcising him?
[–]ProfessorD2 -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
That's not quite what it says. Reread it.
[–]Burner1701 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
A boy is born.
The first person he meets takes a sharp knife, and hacks off part of his penis.
[–]ProfessorD2 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Right. He's born and sees the doctor. Later the doctor circumcises him.
You made it sound like it was all one event; like the doctor circumcised him as he's coming our or something like that :P Maybe that's not what you were getting at, in which case I'm not sure what the problem is.
[–]Burner1701 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Oh, you're suggesting that the doctor doing the circumcision is the same doctor who assisted in the birth? Um...unlikely. No, my objection is that OP is leaving out the baby's mother and father who nurture and feed him constantly after his birth and in the days afterwards and jumps straight to the "circumciser" as if there was no human contact in between the birth and the circumcision.
[–]ProfessorD2 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
The doctor is literally the first person the baby meets face to face.
Yes, I think the article is assuming the same doctor performs the procedure. How accurate that assumption is... I don't know. But I think we can allow him some rhetorical license even if technically it's a different doctor.
[–]Burner1701 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Ok. In Australia you have to ask around to find a doctor willing to do circumcisions for non-religious reasons, hospitals don't do them unless there is an actual medical problem. Maybe it's a cultural difference.
[–]ProfessorD2 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ohhhhh. I did not know that. I know Jewish boys have to be circumcised on day 8 if possible, so it didn't occur to me that babies would ever be done at birth. Thanks for helping me understand, lol.

The reaction is volcanic:

From reading these lines, you'd think these blogs were about killing babies. It's not overly shocking material. The author needs to get over himself.
