Well this is for that kid who just deleted his comment about his neurotic and despondent parents.

So you will get a lot of those "dude calm down you're 17 your parents actually have vast amounts of intelligence compared to you just wait till you're my age" - it never happens in your scenario, you will end up hating them, yourself and everyone who tells you this because 'parental experience' is one of the hardest things to empathize with - it's one of the core experiences of youth - like a kid from a good marriage giving his take on 'finding the right girl in the future' to a kid who's abusive parents just got divorced.

It's an impregnable mentality, you will not get through to them, it's like indoctrination. They have a set picture of their parents, and any time you mention anything horrible about your own parents they immediately visualize themselves mentioning the same horrible things about their parents.

The truth is, if you have good, experienced parents who have vast swathes of adventures they've been on - then they're right, you should calm down and learn from them. Unfortunately what you and many others have is a case of 'passed down safety mechanisms'.

A few generations prior to you (maybe less), some guy went from broke ass poor to decently well off following methodology A - he then passed down A to his children, but because he had lived in scarcity for his youth, he has no capacity for risk, and instilled that in them too.

This risk-less following of A traveled all the way down to your parents, and each time it has seemed to be successful - take no risks, follow the preset path, gain proficiency in a slow-taking art such as medicine, gain profit from this art to offset debt, repeat until you can buy real estate, pass down wealth to children.

This results in a highly neurotic and depressive attitude with added unassailability. There is no room for growth in this mentality, it's the infinite grind of life.

There is no point in arguing with them about it, they will not change, you will remain inexperienced no matter what you do in their eyes (unless of course you pursue A and obtain more resources than your parents, then you are 'a successful man' and they might even ask your opinion on what color door they might have for their next house - the typical Chinese red, or a more modern black door like Zuckerberg's house).

Good parents, well-traveled parents, experienced older human beings, will usually support their kids in whatever risk taking they happen to want to participate in (provided it isn't some stupid shit like 'i want to take heroin all day every day'), but they will give them a 'fallback' skill that is relevant to their uprise - i.e. if you're a football player, your parents should've also taught you how to be a good academic/programmer/artist/musician/etc. whatever their trade was. This is different to forcing you to follow their trade for fear of failure.

Take risks, go for girls, force social interactions, agree that you'll follow their 'beta rules' and then do the exact opposite in front of them. But make sure that you cover your bottom line and you have at least some form of safety net.

Don't compromise - or you'll end up hating yourself for not breaking away from the nest early enough - forcefully negotiate with them - and pretend they are good, experienced parents in order to ease the mental burden.

Once you're set on a path, your next step is to move out of their house, find mentors and role models, and continue the next step of your journey with their help. Usually those people will have good parents (you can tell who has good parents when you've got shit ones) and you'll get a decent attempt at mimicking their behavior so you aren't entirely socially retarded by the time you're 30.

That's that. Sometimes you get a good hand, sometimes the odds don't work out. Life is about how you play the hand, not the particular cards.

Had my first date yesterday. I recently started working a 9am-7pm job. It's my first week and I haven't been paid yet. Time is an issue and on the weekends, I have plans.

I did the mistake of going on a dinner date with this girl I am looking for a casual summer fling with since she is leaving the country in a month's time. The conversation and vibe was great until the moment the bill came. I just split the bill. The vibe before and after that single moment completely changed. I shrugged it off like nothing happened and moved on. However, she was definitely less responsive. i.e She had good sense of humor before the bill came but after, she definitely did not laugh. The conversation throughout the rest of the evening was very surface level.

At one moment near the end of the date, I joked on how cheesy my humor was but she told me she "pitied" me and thought I was "petty" for not paying the dinner bill. Plus she explicitly stated that I buy her a drink to make up for my "mistake" after we had dinner. I was extremely offended by this and simply said that I'm tired and left for home almost immediately.

So my question goes, although applying Red Pill advice, does the guy always need to pay on the first date? I have no obligation to pay for a girl I barely know. What is your opinion on this issue? For the next girl, I'm going to go kayaking this weekend. There's a rental fee for the kayak so I want to make sure I don't f*ck anything up again.

TL;DR - Went on date. Proposed to split the bill. Girl gets extremely turned off and in turn later offends me and explicitly states I buy her a drink at a bar.

Alright men, and RP ladies for that matter--TRP "way of life" has been leading me (well I suppose I have been leading myself) into some awesome adventures, good ass memories, sexy body, and dare I even say good feelz. This is what got me thinking, IF TRP IS SO DAMN AGAINST THE WAY SOCIETY IS, WHY THE FUCK DO WE NIT TAKE ACTION TO CHANGE IT IN OUR IWN COMMUNITIES? 200,000+ people on this sub--and MOST are not doing a goddamn thing to actuate the CHANGE they wish to see in their own communities. Sure, I had to change myself first to get to the point of creating my own bersion of community...and will continue to work on myself. How do I become the ultimate Alpha?

So I've landed a job as a watersports instructor on a summer resort for two months this summer. I'm 20, and never had gf. Raised in a matriarchy, so been a Beta faggot all my life

I have been lifting almost everyday since I found TRP about a year ago, and currently cutting. I have been reading theory on here almost everyday. Problem is, I have had no practice. I live in a small village, and been working in a no contact job for the last while, so haven't tried putting what I've learned to the test.

So advice is what I'm looking for. I've lifted, read plenty of theory (No more Mr Nice Guy, Rational Male), but basically have had no friends for over a year, and haven't attempted gaming. I'll be pretty disappointed with myself if I don't manage something in such a high 'status' job.

I'll keep it short. I'm 17 and my family is Asian. No surprise there.

My whole family is against anything social. Every person in my family is extremely socially awkward and they have no social intelligence whatsoever.

They don't know how to interact with others, and especially they're against anything with the opposite sex. My parents were the definition of beta to the extreme. They keep trying to press their family and moral values onto me.

I'm totally fine when I'm alone or without them socially, but the moment any of them enters even my eyesight something shuts down in my brain.

Whenever they're around, I can't act the way I want to and they're just fucking stupid. I don't want to interact with them AT ALL but they force me to interact with them.

Like I said, they care way too much about family and I'm forced to be around them all the time at family dinners, family vacations, and family outings.

Hi, I'd like to as you guys help for music. Music is important in my daily routine and I listen to it a lot. It's important for me in workouts, relaxation and stuff. One thing I've noticed is how beta is the music today. It's all about being weak, how hard it is to be in love, fragility sensitivity... I hate that s***. Here's my conundrum. At a recent college camp (a social camp), I meet this girl in my group and we click off well. The usual things, talking to each other, escalating through kino on both our sides and basically spending lots of time together. Everyone in the group could see it. I was just enjoying myself and taking things as it comes but trying some sexual strategy too, teasing, not being too helpful (I was that average nice guy before) and being a funny asshole (All that feels for her). After the camp, I initiated text and her reply was very good (when I try to end the convo, she'll restart it). So day 5 of knowing her, before flying off for Bali, I dropped her a text asking for a meet up when I'm back coming Sat. Got Wi-Fi there and saw that dreaded blue tick, oh well maybe she's busy (she had gone for another camp afterwards as part of the organising committee).

Turns out our mutual friend in the same camp group later told me that she felt uncomfortable around me. He showed me the picture and what she said was exactly this:

Her: 'I have my reasons'

Her: 'Im really uncomfortable ard him'

Her: 'Pls pls pls dont try to put us tgt or ship us or anything' (This was after I asked her out)

Approach the issue about it but non-confrontational after giving her some time. Ie 'Hey, I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable, hope you understand. Anw how was your weekend?' (This is what my friends recommend)
Pretend nothing happened and restart text a week later. Ie 'Hey how was your weekend'
Wait till I meet her face to face in a group setting (cause we will definitely be meeting as a camp group).
Fuck this shit. Move on, reward not worth the effort.

Having a conflict with a female neighbour about noise. Her landlord and mine agreed to 10pm cut off time but she keeps taking issue and either banging on the walls or leaving passive aggressive notes. I could have fucked her if I played things differently but now I have a gf and I have definitely yelled through the wall too many times at this bitch to make things chill.

I basically am having the issue with the following: I get paid to produce pretty chill stuff.. but I work best coming up to the night. 10pm is legally fine here for noise to stop. She gets pissed at about 8 or 9 and I can feel her listening and it kind of infects my process. The more I stew or alpha dog her by meeting her shrill shrieks with a roar of ''10!.. good girl, now fuck off" she still just raps on my wall and it stresses me out.

I have a deadline of 4 or 5 days for a contract and I really need this break. Whenever someone suggests headphones I want to kill myself cos A) my mixes will suffer and B) I will have lost ground to this fucking bitch when up until a few months ago, I was happily making tunes until 6am!

How can I overcome this shit without constantly stewing in conflict. It's one thing to just leave my music going on over night while I get drinks with the boys, but my mind would be on it all the time. How do I win without winning? I just need to finish this one job and then I can leave this fucking apartment and leave her a spirit crushing note about her appearance etc. The pettiness is real bros.

I kind of had an awakening moment earlier today. Things have never really gone my way with women, ever, but I just kindof ignored it for the most part except for slight frustrations. I've been subbed to TRP for awhile now, but never really looked into or considered the philosophy. Today, reading a TRP post, I saw something about how pornography really affects the brain, and I realized then that I was subscribed to as many porn subreddits as I was to non-porn subreddits. It made me realize there are a lot of things in my life that need changing and re-worked. I'm a fairly smart guy, and now I'm smart enough to know that I'm not happy where I am. I want to be an alpha. I'm tired of being beta. I'm not the most in shape guy either, 6'1, 205 lbs. I'm doing cardio every day though.

So my question is, what should my next step be? And how do I keep this motivation? I've always wanted to better myself, but now I see that I truly can do it.

The IDGAF mentality is discussed a lot on here and it has done me a lot of good. One issue that keeps coming up, and something I constantly overthink is what my family tries to force on me. One thing I've noticed is younger chicks don't seem to care about my career, only older women are impressed. I'm a 3rd year medical student at an MD school in the US. When I drop the "I'm a med student" line, younger women don't seem to care, only the older ones are impressed and go "Wow!"

I realize that I'm still not a full-fledged physician, but I'm definitely on the right track. I feel like I'm doing pretty well in terms of establishing a good career for myself and maximizing my SMV in that regard.

Of course, that doesn't mean I'm neglecting other areas of my life or ways to further increase my SMV. I've been hitting the gym, maximizing my looks, constantly working on my social skills, etc. etc.

Any thoughts on what I can do? Am I simply going to have to "settle" for attention and sex from older women only? Or just be patient, and wait until I'm older, and hope that the "young girl wanting an older man" fantasy becomes reality for me at some point?

I'm a short and skinny guy, so I've started working out (lifting), and I can already notice a few improvements. I do, however, have a little fat around the belly button that bothers me a ton from an aesthetic perspective. It's hardly noticable if I stand up unless I actually pinch the skin, but it's annoying and bothers me when I sit down. How the hell do I get rid of this? If I go into a calorie deficit, won't I risk losing muscle aswell?

Is this like a cult or something? It sure seems like it. Like any other organization with followers, people join because they need answers to questions they can't answer themselves. There are things I can agree with here, but by no means does any of this always hold true.

Be strong enough to forge your own path. Fuck societal pressures. Observe and experience life, do what the fuck you want to do, and keep focus on the direction you want to grow. The only thing you need to do is to be genuine to yourself and I promise that will reflect positively in your life. You're not gonna learn shit unless you just go out there and do it. Nobody is perfect, so chill tf out. There is no alpha, and there is no beta, unless you choose to limit yourself mentally by accepting these categories. Lead yourself, don't blindly follow others because they sound like they've figured it out.

What is TRP's stance on personality disorders. I've been reading up on them a lot and I Am pretty sure I have Avoidant Personality disorder w/ maladaptive daydreaming traits. I know you can't really self-diagnose this but my entire life just makes so much sense when I read that wikipedia article on Avoidant Personality disorder.

I am on an SSRI right now which is REALLY HELPING me with anxiety and my thoughts but the Avoidant in me just expresses itself differently and I am thinking of therapy. What do you think I should do?

My theory is that I didn't have a strong father figure(neglected by dad), was a spoiled brat, had no responsibility growing up, spent too much time on the internet, was bullied at school which led to me being this way.

I know I have to take responsibility and fix this but I'm just coming to terms with this and trying to improve my life.

Been talking to this girl in class for about two months. Always following the red pill behaviour. She always comes to me for help. I've been using push and pull. She's always joking about how I should not talk to other girls but I always just smile, nod or ignore her completely. Recently she sent me the love emoji after I sent her a kiss one when she was crying to me about her problems.

Next week I'm just planning to tell her to meet me outside classroom during break and then kiss her. What should I do or say if she resists ? What if it doesn't work out ? cause I still have to sit with her for another month at least. Advice please?

How does one manage loneliness and distance from his family? Especially after taking TRP and having some troubles with one's mother (a caring and loving one, that deserves better than ignoring and harsh behaviors)?

I spent 3 weeks with my family after taking TRP, and I entred in a kind of rejection conflict with my mother. She ended up almost crazy, ill and feeling bad. But at the end of the trip, she told me "sorry for everything, I understand the struggle of a man that tries to rise himself by his own in a foreign country, and I'm with you and I encourage you in all your decisions despite everything bad I could say or do, make the decisions that suits you best in life, I love you so much".

This sentence resound in my head all day long (I just arrived home alone, 5 hours ago). Guilt is crippling me, even if we talked on phone, and everything is ok technically, I can't stop regretting the time I've wasted not spent with her, I wish I could just sit with her a little more, for her health state is not fully ok.

This shit, with TRP shit the flight and sleep deprivation are driving me crazy. I don't want solutions. This blog is the only place where I could share things like that, without being fully judged and diminished.

I don't want to kill myself, I want to learn patience. Thanks for reading this (for the ones who read it)

Bf of 4 years will not give me his seed. I'm 25, my family lives hours away and I'm really wanting a family of my own. Anyways I asked him if it's because of my genetics, he said no and that I'm beautiful. I don't have any health issues and mentally I'm pretty good. We don't argue too often or have any major issues I don't think. I asked him for an answer why and the best he could say is that he wants his child to eat meat. I was vegetarian for 10+ years but recently started eating meat now so that can't be a real answer. I don't want to nag him about it or even bring it up again. I just want to know if I'm doing something wrong. I do wear the pants most of the time which feels wrong but he knows I want him to take the lead and be in control, I guess I'm just waiting for that to happen. Maybe I'm not submissive enough? I know I'm not really coming to the right place with this but I'm desperate. If you can think of a way I can get answers without being annoying I'd be very grateful.

My last question got downvoted and I'm pretty sure this will be aswell but I wanted to ask what is TRP's stance on medication. I am on an anti-depressant and mood stabiliser for what I suspect is Borderline Personality disorder. My moods are way better now and I would not be hesistant continuing this as long as I have to.

I don't want this to be a crutch though and am going to try to learn DBT skills on my own and work through a CBT workbook. Anything else I should do?

I read everything in TRP I know most of you are adults, but will the TRP mindset/phycology work for me to spin plates while still in high school(more specifically older girls)?
