This last week and a half has been pretty hellish for me. I'm not entirely sure what happened, but I burned out pretty bad. I was giving my everything to academics, my business, and my basketball team and now I just constantly feel like shit and can't focus on anything. I can't find any motivation either. I used to be super driven and productive and now I feel like I'm losing control of my life. I lost my starting spot on the team, I messed up a test or two, and a business meeting went badly. Does anyone have any tips on discipline, motivation, and burning out? I'm thinking of maybe trying monk mode, but I'm not sure.

Background: 17, only recently hit my stride, 80KG 5'12 been working out for around 11 months. In a high status social group at my school. Starting to notice IOI's from girls in lower years, and talking to them etc...

Problem: I have no issue talking to girls, flirting or pulling, but I'm still a virgin. There is this girl which is my co-worker.

I can't decide what's she's up to since she keeps seducing and flirting with me and giving me "fuck off" every time I try to escalate like openly proposing sex or intimacy.

I though she might want to turn me into an orbiter but she puts too much effort into this. She keeps texting me all day after work (she's always the one initiating contact), keeps inviting me to places like social events, plays, clubs and stuff.

The funniest thing about this is that she has a boyfriend that never leaves home since he's working from there. Maybe I'm the back up guy or she's trying to make her bf jealous, but lately she told me that she wants me to keep it all between us "a secret", also she never takes her bf when I'm coming.

I'm nailing some plates meanwhile while hanging out with her. She even helped me to hook up with some girls, even higher SMV than her, and introduces me to her female friends. We talk openly about sex and girls I've fucked lately. Despite all of this I'm afraid I might develop onetis for this one, and I can't see if it's her game or I just can't see some missing piece.

This even motivated me to change jobs and progress with my career just to check out if it will work.

I don't think it's enough info for a proper advice, but I just wanted to vent since someone might come up with something game-changing since I feel stuck in this situation.

Hello, first time posting here. I'm 29 yrs old and I was introduced to TRP months ago and it helped me recovering from a sad period of my life (No more mr Nice Guys was a gamechanger), on the way of reading the sidebar (english is not my native language so to read it I need moments when I can concentrate on).

In the last two weeks I lost almost all of the positivity I gained because of the problems I have with my job. I get up every morning trying to do my best and learn as much as possible from it, but I get paid every 4-5 months if I'm lucky, and they still have to pay me more than a year. This reflect on my lifestyle, I have to save almost all of my money because I don't know when will be the next time I'll get paid for my work, go out with the same friends doing everytime the same thing (which is go eat something at low cost places, my friends are all unemployed people) and there's almost no motivation on trying different things or meeting new people, even girls. I can't leave my job easily, as there's zero chance I'll find another job in my town, plus I won't get my money even with the help of lawyers (I know because an ex co-worker did this and had nothing as of now), the only chance I have to find another job is by leaving my city, but I still don't have the resources for that, I still live with my parents, that's not uncommon or strange here in my country, but I feel that I need to go my way and have my freedom, sticking with them is driving me crazy. The feeling of not getting paid for what I do is terrible, it makes me think that I'm not living as I should, I'm trying to survive on this and wait some more months because maybe the next months will be better and everything will resolve for the best, but I feel I'm stuck on it. What advice would you give? I thought to prepare a B plan in case everything goes wrong (that is leaving the job with the risk of losing all the money they have to give me, basically if I leave the company where I work is dead), but I don't have time and/or energy to focus on it. Was thinking that since going through all of this is a mid/long term goal maybe I need some short term goal, but I have none aside lifting and improving in my social skill, which as I said I'm having a hard time because of the main problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Just a funny anecdote, i have a plate that know shes a plate and doesn't necessarily like it. She gives me a hard time about other girls but nothing too crazy. I noticed that she's been cleaning my house weekly, which is a pretty good undertaking at 3000sqft. But i think she does this as an excuse to look for items other girls may have left, socks, underwear bobby pins or whatever. I also noticed she started leaving her own little "claim to the territory" through notes on the dry erase board, Some small simple bathroom items and "forgetting" things that are blatantly out in the open. Interesting how competition sparks more motivation to impress/make me happy. I reward her properly with dinner and my time afterwards. I have a feeling though that if it weren't for the competition and she thought i had no options, i'd be hiring my cleaning lady.

Any of you had to cut off/completely ghost a close family member, like your own brother who you grew up with all your life?

Not really sure if there's a proper way to go about this situation. Basically my older brother is a complete loser... antisocial, gambling addiction, video game addiction, porn/hooker addiction, drug addict, alcoholic, watches cartoons and comedy movies every day, no goals in life, complete BP beta overall.

I was always ambitious my whole life, but was such a classic BP little bitch before I found TRP almost a year ago now. Used to chase women around and shower them with attention, hold doors and buy flowers to try and win them over and all that dumb shit. Makes me want to puke even typing those words and thinking about how lame I looked to a lot of people.

But I digress... ever since I found TRP and started getting more serious about lifting, being social, building an empire etc., my brother's been getting extremely jealous and envious. He sees me confidently opening conversations with women, making gains, making money, being a little flashy within my means, etc. But most importantly he sees the attention I'm RECEIVING from hot girls who he goes home and thinks about while he jerks off and wishes he had the balls to open his mouth and speak to them like a human being with dignity.

The last couple times we went out, he cockblocked me so hard like a little bitch. The first time, I was talking with this girl and getting serious IOI's, asked her to come grab a drink alone and she says yes. As soon as we get up and walk toward the bar, my brother gets up and follows us, rushes in front of us to the bar so he can pay for the drinks and try to AMOG me (he's also older and over 6' tall so under the right circumstances it's easy for him to look like more of a man than me). Funny how he thinks paying for a girl's drink is so alpha.

Then the last time we went out, this cute girl actually opened me and we were talking for a few, teasing each other, little kino and giving/getting a lot of IOI's. My brother was sitting across from me at one of those small bar tables and started trying to take over the conversation as soon as the girl said something that he understood and was able to make a comment on (probably a movie reference or something about a cartoon). The girl ended up just walking away after a minute since we obviously weren't getting anywhere with all the cockblocking going on.

There have been numerous times over the years where I tried to help him become a better man, but there's nothing you can do for someone who just doesn't want to help themselves. I wish I could help him change but at this point I just don't even care to waste my time anymore.

I gave him a job last year and as soon as I went on vacation he sabotaged my whole business and I went into debt and almost starved for a whole year. He also decided to be best friends with my cousin who robbed me for thousands of dollars (he also robbed/scammed my brother multiple times to his face but he's such a coward with no self respect that he'd rather be friends with my cousin because "hey, he's family bro"). I also told him about a couple good investments I made (before I knew he was talking to my cousin 24/7) and he went and shared that information with my cousin, so basically he's helping someone who robbed me get rich off of MY ideas.

There's also a whole bunch of stories about times he stole from me, like this one time I took my girl out to a movie on Thanksgiving eve like 9 years ago. Came home the next morning and the only $40 I had to my name was no longer in my dirty jeans that were part of a huge pile of dirty laundry on my bedroom floor. That's right, he went through a whole pile of dirty laundry and searched all the pockets and found my only $40 and stole it to buy coke. But that's not all, I got to spend 30 minutes wiping his chest and face with a wet towel because he was basically having a heart attack from the drugs he bought with my last $40.

So yeah, sorry about the long post. After typing this all out, it's so much more obvious that I need to completely get away from this person for life. But "he's family bro" and I can't just avoid him completely. He's gonna be at every single family event I go to. I feel like he doesn't even deserve to be sat down and looked in the eyes and given a lecture/intervention. I feel like I just need to straight up ghost. Any advice, fellow TRP bros?

Couple old guy questions here if I may combine them. Here's me: 54, 6'0", 175 lbs and sorta skinny at the moment. Just started lifting about 3 weeks ago so hopefully I'll be buffed up before too awful long. Unfortunately I have about zero game. I've read the sidebar stuff, plus tons of stuff from other places, and I think I understand well but haven't practiced at all yet. So game + bod = in the works for the time being.

Question 1) There are two universities in my town so young ladies abound. Since I have spent most of my life pudgy and in LTR's, I haven't even given younger girls a second thought. Is there even a fair chance at any of them or am I just entirely too old to be taken seriously anymore?

The most negative person in my life is my father and I'm not sure how to deal with this.

I'm late teens, father is early fifties. Let me start this by saying I know my father is not a bad person. I guess the best way to summarize him is lame.

My father's been primarily a businessman in his life. Started a company from literally nothing and now he makes six figures. Definitely a self made man. However I didn't see him much between 4 - 16 years of age. When I did it was at very short dinners.

At fourteen I became depressed & suicidal. I didn't go to my dad because every time I went to him for advice he would just say "you just need to man up". He found out through the phone repairman seeing my texts to my friends. He isolated me for a few months as punishment...I'm not sure why. Ever since then I haven't been able to trust him.

At sixteen he finally realized he hadn't been in my life that much. So we started hunting together and while that was fun, the most my father could be to me was a wealthy, generous friend. The first time we went hunting I distinctly remember him saying "I just want to be your friend". I wasn't sure what to make of that, but I eventually let go and tried to enjoy my dad's efforts. Nothing memorable happened. He didn't teach me anything. I haven't killed anything. I think he acted out the "sunken cost fallacy" here because we started taking a lot of trips. It was fun at first but nothing more than a great vacation.

Every time I do something with my dad all he does is criticize me. Whether my looks, ideas, music, schoolwork, occupations, actions, anything I bring up. When I confronted him and asked for how I could be 'better', he simply shrugged his shoulders and said "I don't know. I'm from a different time, can't help you much". I told him to stop criticizing me if he's not going to offer advice and he told me to "shut up and respect him".

He also shoots down any conversation about him and his flaws. It's like he wants to be perfect. Then he tells me "son, you can't be perfect so don't strive to be". Most of his advice is very hypocritical like that.

Now I'm 18. I know I'm not ready to be an adult. But I can't blame that on my father anymore. From here on out the choices I make are mine, whether I'm prepared to make them or not.

My gut tells me to have minimal contact or even just drop all contact with my dad. I'm torn because he's provided so many resources and opportunities to me, but there's literally no substance between us. The title of caretaker suits him better than a father. I'd feel like an absolute dick doing that to him, but I need better people in my life. I need people who encourage me to be better than I was yesterday, are honest to my face, accept they're just as human as I am, and simply can relax.

I've tried talking with my dad about me, him, us, for years but he never listens. It's always "well life is like that" or "we can't do anything about it" or "just accept it". I've heard his story. A literal bastard and on his own since 12. But he tells me "nobody cares about your past, just get up and do what's right" when I'm mad. I can't help change him because he doesn't want to change.

When I try to be independent he gets mad, flustered, and tells me I don't trust and love him anymore. I opened my first own back account, he got offended, then asked why I don't trust my parents to handle my money.

So what advice can I use? I'm thinking of keeping him at arm's length until I'm financially independent then moving out and cutting contact.

Running for captain of university's rowing team. Problem is, I have to balance team commitment with rowing a single on my own (where my goal is to become elite at it). This is something I can only really talk about balancing with the current women's captain who's done the same thing but less competitive in the single. However, I fucked up and asked her to formal since she's at least a 9, and gave off the impression of investment so she's been silent. My first question is about working the "emotional roller coaster." I know I hear a lot about how getting a woman to feel a range of emotions keeps her locked in. This week I went 'out' with a crush. I honestly didn't know what to think of it, this woman is very much like me. The way she handles herself that is, it was so attractive to the point that right in between classes we both decided to go to a concert. I normally don't do that, but apparently she does so I said 'why not?'.

To give you some context on who I am: I am 21 y/o 6'3, white, i'd say 7/10 looking man. She is i'd say a good 8/10, tall beautiful, intelligent, 21 y/o woman. We both go to the same school and have class together.

Anyway, we have known each other for maybe a month, since we go to the same class. Since then we have had our fair share of conversations, learning about one another. We are both very busy people, with lots of things going on at the same time and yet we found something to talk about.

On our first encounter she informed me that she has a boyfriend. I was not really phased at all, as that is a normal occurrence when you meet tall, smart, and attractive women these days...especially on campus. I did not think of our initial conversation too much, but part of me knew that i had a oneitis for this chick, I mean she is on my fucking level and I very rarely meet someone like that..I couldn't wrap my head around this girl, and I knew I intrigued her.

Fast forward to today, we were both sitting in the library and doing our work, and I decided to spark a conversation, I don't remember what exactly it was. Somehow we got talking about her boyfriend, or ex, I say this because she is very unsure of how they are together. She was however, very adamant about expressing the fact that she loves him very much, and I understood that because she said she dated him for more than 3 years. That's a lot for a girl, and I could relate to that, because I dated a girl for 4 years prior to meeting her and I still have love for her, despite all the shit that went on.

We continue talking and somehow we get to talking about her parents, their relationship, and her relationship with them. She told me how she has 'daddy issues'. She flat out told me that, and I was taken aback but I realized that she is very much like me. She is open and honest and is not afraid of facing the harsh reality that her life may entail. She did however tell me "I don't even know why I told you that, but yeah.." At that moment, I just felt like she told me that because she was comfortable with me. Because I have opened a bit of myself up for her to feel the need to share a side that has been keeping her down. She clearly knew I had feelings for her, she teased me about my body language(when we were talking, I was leaning forward, while she was sitting straight), and it didn't make me feel awkward. It really was complimentary in fact. We continued talking about ourselves, analyzing our behavior, discussing influential works of art, fashion, school life. She had a very sensitive side to her about her school past that she always said she is not ready to talk about. I was okay with it, why push a person out of their comfort zone, especially if it was a traumatic experience like that.

We continue on with our conversation and she somehow stumbles upon a concert of a band that she likes, I knew the said band and although did not share the same fondness, my excitement grew because she was happy. But my judgement became clouded, I realized that I am ultimately being toyed with...that she has no serious affection toward me, but I had no problem with that. I felt 'ok' with it.

Later on I invite her to go eat with me, she accepted and joined. As we were eating, I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea for me to have a good time with someone level headed and interesting as I am. It was a thought that made me ask her if she wanted to go to the concert if I buy the tickets. She agreed to go to the concert, but under the condition that I don't buy the tickets. That didn't bother me really, because my intentions were not of sexual nature (But if they can get there, why not?).

We arrive at the concert and I buy the tickets for us, she adamant about paying me back offering me cash, venmo, etc..But i'm not tight on money, so I wanted to really just be nice to her because she opened up a side of me that I believe TRP will approve. As the concert started, I remember how I grabbed her hips as the music was playing and she smiled at me and said "You're really sweet, but I am technically still with my boyfriend. I don't feel comfortable if you're holding me." So i didn't do it again, I went and bought us some drinks and just enjoyed my time with her. I honestly think it was a good time. Afterwards, we went for a walk and got more drinks and talked about our relationships, she continued to analyze me, and I did the same to her. We were very open about our conversations, to a point where I didn't feel like I was being led on or manipulated. I felt in control, I knew that I can leave literally at any moment if I didnt give a shit. I stayed because she kept on giving me interesting insight on myself, while doing the same to her. We had our laughs and we had some really late dinner at some Japanese place. Before the night was over, I asked her "Why tonight? Why did you go with me, I could of had a number of intentions and yet, you trusted me." She said that there was something about me that she respected a lot, she knew that I am tougher than I look, and the fact that we are both very much alike. She knew that if she were to tell me to stop touching her, that I would stop. That I am not like most 'assholes' that i'm a kind and respectable asshole. I asked her "So what do you consider this?", she said "friendship" and in my opinion I doubt that she wants to keep it that way. Yes her behavior is quite erratic and spontaneous, and although what she says is honest and true, she lies to herself to protect her boyfriend/ex who she 'loves so much'. I can't blame the girl for that, she flat out told me that she still loves her older boyfriends too, she's a girl..We ended the night with a hug, she texted me later saying she had a great time, and she's happy and thankful with/for everything. Which is just basic shit..but she meant it. I have no doubt in that in my mind.

Anyway, my question for you guys is: Is this girl worth my time? I feel like there is something special about this one. I am very picky with girls, I talk to ALOT of them...I have an issue with 'flirting' according to her, but she knows I have restraint. So the factor of oneitis is there, but I want to know realistically from a psycho social standpoint, would this girl come around by next week?

Okay so there is this thing that is stuck in mu head for a Long time, here goes: I have read a lot of articles about how a Man must be a rock solid, a wall of protection for women, dont let me even start on titanium frame. So how can you be this rock and at the same time at least a bit affectionate for women but then at the same time not be labeled as Nice guy™. Is there a balance or any other way? Thanks in advance.
