PSA to yall: PurplePill does not want sources. They are just more TBP circle jerk.

Last week I posted two peer reviewed sources on hypergamy from a #1 ranked sociology journal (Archives of Sexual Behavior) from like 2010 and 2012.

I was then banned and the mods stated to me, and in milder terms in their current stickied post that peer-reviewed scientific journal articles are not acceptable.

Ironically, they also make fun of TRPers who do things like quote free sources from wikipedia, psychology today, or older publications.

There is no winning here. It's just more SRS space.

a lot of the problem comes from the postmodern discourse that infects the modern left/feminists that make up the core of bluepill.

these are the people who believe that literally everything is a social construct. there is no such thing as objectivity.

when you are arguing with someone who only focuses on how an argument makes them feel, you arent going to get very far. this is part of why arguing with feminists is a waste of time.

at this point, unless people are willing to acquiesce that much of what we talk about is self-evident through experiencing or witnessing it over and over in the "field" I am not even willing to entertain the discussion.

frankly i don't care to discuss this stuff with people unless they are already somewhat open to it

a non politically correct, truth seeking, pragmatic realist will probably never agree with a PC-police, utopia seeking, feel-good idealist.

It's a good idea in theory, but as soon as you try to go on the offensive on some TBP criticisms, they pull out the "well that doesn't matter, TBP is a parody sub, we don't take things seriously lololol"

It is fun to watch the blue pill side slowly drop the facade of 'neutrality' and devolve into snark and name calling as comment chains progress when any red pill posters hold their ground on their statements though.

There really are reasonable people on PPD. And were I a better person, I would spend more time trying to open their eyes.

But I'm not, and a lot of this stuff is triage. Better to work on my friend who a)I care about and b) trusts me, than an internet stranger, who sees ME as an internet stranger.

I wish them the best, and they're welcome to visit my blog at any time.

I haven't even looked at that subreddit but in general I find arguing against feminists to be as useless as arguing against creationists. The second you prove that their viewpoint is essentially false and wrong, they cling to their catch phrases like "patriarchy", "social construct (as in everything is one)", "rape culture" etc. All of these being merely opinions and not theories based on the scientific method leaves little room for actual debate.

Once you're exposed to TRP you either quickly agree with it or you dont. No amount of debate is going to change your mind.

This is what it comes down to. I think that whole sub is stupid because The Red Pill is named after a binary choice from The Matrix. You have to take it, or take The Blue Pill. One exposes you to the realities of the world, the other keeps you safe and comfortable in your world of lies. The Purple Pill implies there is some third option where you can see with the realities of the world while staying comfortable, but mere exposure to these realities should represent having taken The Red Pill.

I've commented a few times over at PurplePill, but I don't make a habit of it. I agree it seems like mainly a waste of time, the BP posters aren't there to learn they're there to refute what they already know can't possibly be true. I check the threads every now and then, and sometimes if I feel I can contribute something I will. But yeah, like I said, I agree it's a waste of time.

TBP is a sub dedicated to mockery. I don't see how there is 'debate' or genuine discussion possible. Entering some frays only lowers your value. In this case it's similar debating with a clown.

In my eyes, that whole sub lost it's credibility as a place for rational debate and mutual understanding when the bluepill faction failed to engage /u/redpillschool on a level beyond mockery and vitriol. Every time he shows up someone either a) tries to tell him what he thinks or b) misrepresents his position (especially vis-a-vis spousal rape and women's suffrage).

We constantly say that TRP sub is not a movement, but a collection of individuals trying to figure out the current state of things by sharing any and all information that may be useful. What is useful to one may not be useful to another, and any one user's use of said information (e.g., spin plates, maintain a monogamous relationship) is not representative of the whole. However, if there was one user who could feasibly represent the sub as a whole it would be the head mod/guy with the most writing in the sidebar. That he was there and willing to debate showed promise, but TBP's reaction was less than bush league, disappointing on the whole, and indicative of the fact that they are not debating or even trying to understand our positions.

One requirement of an effective debate is that each party understands the other's position. That definitely isn't the case on PPD. The blue pill side seems for the most part to have a very superficial understanding of TRP.

Engagement is a slow process, but considering how far anything in this sub is from being mainstream, all engagement is good.

Also, to be honest, a little bit of hotly contested debate could shave off some of the stray sharp edges around here, and that would not be an awful thing. It doesn't hurt to have an opponent to help you hone your argument.

In theory it's good. I like to keep my views in check, especially when they're as far from the beaten path as TRP.

That being said I also disagree with a good deal of stuff I see on this board, especially recently. Many men come to find TRP after heartbreak/observing women doing not-so-ethical acts, and end up letting the butthurt cloud their judgement. Plus there's an increasing amount of posturing on the board - keyboard jockeys, essentially. So I wish there was a viable alternative. I guess PPD is not it.

There needs a nawalt kind of sub to encounter the situations where red pill will only serve short term while blue pill methods work long term.

Things like ltr dating single moms, being ok with female previous partners (especially if you had multiple yourself) both earning income. Being a better man for your wife and the wife being a better woman for the husband.

Lots of beta situations with alpha navigation... Alpha men who became beta because they let their ego blind them to their fuck ups. Some people do need a head check when their shit gets too far out of line. (Cheating, pump and dumps, unrealistic expectations in a woman)

It's sad that the blue pill isn't an effective counter but just some off shoot of shitredditsays who's existence is only to troll and circle jerk trp
