Hey there guys. So, i came across TRP a few times in my reddit travels, and never really paid much attention to it. You guys get bitched about alot. Late last night, I decided to actually read what you guys were about, and my eyes were truly opened.

My girlfriend loves me, but she doesn't respect me. My girlfriend doesn't respect me, and thus treats me in a negative light.

I had never really considered respect to be the issue before today. Why shouldn't she respect me? I have a good job, in a career field I enjoy. I have a good, paid for car. I'm caring. I'm loving.

I treat her exactly how every blue pill male was raised to treat women.

But she doesn't respect me. So when we argue, she argues till she is blue in the face, and I have no choice to let it go. We fight, and we yell, until one of us gives in, normally her. But she doesn't change her ways. She is right back to doing whatever it was that upset me in the first place, as soon as she possibly can.

But after reading the top 500 or so posts, my eyes were opened. I took the red pill. so when the argument from yesterday spilled over into today, just as I knew it would, I knew exactly what needed to be said.

I remained calm, I didn't yell, I didn't raise my voice, I didn't get up and pace as I normally do. I sat there, and let the dread game play out.

I explained that I am not her punching bag, and that I refuse to be anything close to that any longer. That I don't give a damn if she loves me, but I'll be gone in a second if she can't respect me. That if she can't take advice from me, without going off, to say so now, and I'll let her go.

She said, "Alright."

I said, "No, not alright, GF. I am demanding your respect. If you can't do that, then get out. The way you walk around her as though you own the place is disgusting. I may not currently be in a position to do better than you, but I would certainly be happier with you gone, than being treated like this."

That, my new friends, struck her completely silent for 30 seconds.

"Now apologize for acting like a petulant child, and get out of my face for an hour."

And she apologized. Right there, on the spot. THAT, has never happened before. She left the room for exactly an hour, came back out, apologized again, and started cooking dinner.

I have never felt so free. TRP advice works. It actually works.

Obligatory Edit

You guys are honestly the most welcoming subreddit. Never received a welcome like this, on any other subreddits. Not only have you guys welcomed me with open arms, but the advice has just been poring in, and I love it. I've started reading The Red Pill Handbook, and am learning quite alot.

  1. My SMV is lower than hers. She is cute, Asian, AND rich. She is 19, i'm 25. She's going to graduate school starting august, to be a veterinarian. I have a technical degree in computer science, and work as a security guard. So when I said I can't currently do better than her, that's why. She's freaky in bed, and our sex life is good. Probably only because she has a high libido, and I know what I'm doing in bed. However, I fully accept, that with more confidence, and a lower body fat %, I can do better. Once I fix that, I shouldn't have any trouble at all asserting my dominance.

  2. I am overweight. Not horrifically so, but I do have work to do. That changes now. I don't feel good about who i am, so that needs to change.

  3. Thank you, guys(And gals? Haven't investigated.)

  4. Last but not least, I'm new to this, but i'm enthusiastic. One thing I am struggling with, is internalizing. I read somewhere, that the first step to truly making a difference, is to get angry. What should I be getting angry at, exactly? I recognize that as a smart guy, I should have recognized the warning signs, and have no one to blame but myself. Getting angry at myself doesn't seem constructive. Or am I reading this wrong. Help?
