Negging?

You'll naturally do it simply because you VALUE yourself. Negging essentially creates the scenario that you're valuable, that you're ABOVE someone else by throwing a cocky & funny 'insult' at them. There's no need for that shit if you're ALREADY above someone purely based on your lifestyle, career, physical health, intelligence, etc. Hell, do you EVER see high value men throw negs around? No, you see them as quiet, stoic men. You may see them make jokes, but you'll almost NEVER see them insult another person. Why? Because they know that they're already above them. There's no need to validate their selves by insulting others. After all, confidence is silent and insecurity is loud. This is because insecure people have the need to be noticed, to be heard, to be acknowledged. Confident men don't need this. They KNOW that their opinions are valued simply because their opinions are educated and well-informed (this is why you need to be mentally successful. Learn about as many things as you're passionate about!). They simply have to take action or say their opinion once, and it'll be understood— because people pay attention to them... And people pay attention to these men because they're RESPECTED (it goes full circle).

A basic understanding of the game theory of negotiation, along with competence in its practice, should be listed in every "how to be a man" guide.

As someone said here, a transactional / economic view of relationships is a useful lens to understand things. In some sense whether we enjoy admitting it or not, all of our relationships are based on the simple exchange of goods and services. And, value is always in the eye of the beholder (or "purchaser")

Watch the movie "a beautiful mind" for some great redpillish examples.

And learn to negotiate.

Same as with the advice to "talk to everyone" - "negotiate everything" - When someone asks you to do something that you don't necessarily want to do... say "and what are you offering in return?" ... don't have to say it out loud or be a dick about it, but start thinking it. And if the return isn't sufficient for you, offer a counter. "Sure babe, I'll drive you out to the airport at 5 am, and on the way there you'll have my dick in your mouth the entire time" ... etc

When shopping, haggle. Ask for specials. Ask for freebies. There are plenty of "smart shopper" tips out there. Read and apply them.
Want to get into the next level up? Go to flea markets. Especially where immigrants / non US natives are selling stuff. Americans suck at haggling and negotiating, but other countries have strong cultures. Improve your game by haggling for trivial cheap stuff in a flea market, then you won't be rattled when that HB8 counters your offer with an ultimatum.
Next level still? Car dealers, telemarketers, cable / phone companies... these large and sophisticated organizations have made intense study into how to manipulate you and defeat attempts to haggle. If you can deconstruct those processes and overcome them, you are on your way to getting anything you want in life.

An afterthought...

We love the Dark Triad types because they can take a woman that's asking an unrealistically high price and by the time they are done she's giving it away for free while getting fucked anally and choked.

Most guys just want a "fair price" that they can live with... but the idea of totally stealing what you want is attractive. (at least in theory)

A second afterthought is about "Free Love".

Back in the 1970's women gave sex away for free and that default low price made women sexually aroused.

By the 1990's women started putting a price on sex again and that made all the pussy go dry unless they felt they were reaching high up the ladder.

"Free Love" was a very sexy time. (I wish that never went away)

This is no shit a life saver.

I took my car in this week to get two wheel hub bolts replaced (Snapped them off putting on the spare). The bill was ~$300.

If you don't know cars these bolts are about $4 and take 15 minutes to replace. I had the guy walk me through the line items on the bill. Remember that line

"I have a hard time understanding the charges. Could you go over each line item with me to help me understand?"

I was charged for a brand new wheel hub because the shop didn't have any bolts. They were charging me to buy a new one. Pull out two bolts and then put the two new bolts in the old wheel hub with the other old bolts.

This is where you leave a long, awkward pause because you know the person on the end of the line knows it's bullshit.

Then you ask "What is the difference in labor to install the entire new hub vs what you are trying to do?"

And when they say "$30" you say

"Ok. Since I never authorized you to charge me for an entire wheel hub but since I am paying for it anyway I'll go ahead and charge the extra $30 to get the entire hub installed."

They don't have anywhere to go in the conversation now but you give them a chance to save face with you They don't win but you aren't rubbing it in their face that you caught them.

You get the point, I hope. 90% of life is about asking the right questions at the right time. This applies to job interviews, work projects, everything in life.

I ended up leaving the shop paying around $200 total for the new hub, all the labor, and an oil change. It's not magic, though.

Oh, I have an older car that isn't made anymore. I even tried looking for those bolts but to no avail, that's why I had the full hub installed. However, it's something your mechanic should call you about before doing that. I was quoted in-shop for, like $50.

I don't like to use the term "neg". It has a very negative connotation (No shit). I like to think of negging as giving her a hard time with a cheeky grin on my face. It's not mean or rude but it let's her know that I don't take her- or anybody else- all that seriously.

Your title excited me because haggling is a skill that requires holding a frame and having a tedious interaction with another party.

Learning how to haggle, by poking and prodding, having a set agenda or plan, reading body language acting quickly on that information all lends it self perfectly to getting good game. Because practice at it helps you understand certain queues which give you power in a price negotiation.

But then I read your post about 'negging' which isn't a good analogy. While I agree that the idea or notion that a 'beta' rationalizes an inflated higher SMV.

What you should be talking about instead of haggling with a girl to sleep with you, is how a man with a good frame and sense of self understands the true SMV and won't budge on what he perceives that to be. He uses his frame, to convince the girl that she is with in his given range.

Negging is a bad example not because it doesn't fit but because it is to specific when talking about this broad of a topic, but I like the idea you are trying to get at.
