I started reading the red pill about a month ago, I found it through /r/deadbedrooms.

tl;dr: I took the red pill about a month ago. My wife noticed the changes and tried shit tests that I have won. Arguments have ceased now, wife and family are happier.

History:

I have always been red pill in work life and with mates. I always thought being the 'nice guy' and very blue pill with women. After taking the pill I reviewed my last 8 years of my relationship.

Over the years I failed nearly all the shit tests.

I thought that if the wife had her way it would make life easier + less fights + more sex. It turned out the total opposite. Shit test turn into fights. Less and less sex.

Things were very bad. She had told me; "You have no power in this house." "The only thing you are good for is being father to the kids." "I'm the boss in this house."

This is what has happened in the last month:

I have stopped trying to get any validation or sympathy from my wife. E.g. I don't ask her if she likes something I have done, or mentioning things I've fixed around the house.

I'm thinking of my needs before hers. This has made me much happier and she is seeing that my time is valuable. This has also freed my mind space.

I'm striving for my own goals again.

Calling her out on things that she does wrong. I have always had a moral code that I abide by. I know that she is attracted to this. Now I also keep her to it. She tells me that she 'feels like a better person'.

Not giving a shit about all the crap she said to me.

No asking for sex.

There was an increase in shit tests, she felt that I was just not caring about her. I've listed some of them below.

Shit Tests:

(1) During this time of change she tried out saying 'I'm the boss of the house'. I didn't back off this shit test. Told her that I raising the boys to be men, men are responsible for their own lives and those in their household. I think it hit home to her when I told her to think about our boys being married and she would feel if they were bossed around by a woman that she doesn't know yet.

(2) Shit test started after I explained to her that I wasn't a passenger in life, my purpose in life is not to make her life easier and also that when we got married that "I took her on board my ride". She flipped out saying that "you took me on? took me on?? like a charity case?? Ask any woman how that would make them feel?". I laughed out loud because of the way her mind flipped things. I replied saying "those women's husband's would be laughing with me too about your childish behaviour." She tried telling me that she had many guys interested in her before we were married. I laughed more because she was talking crap. She stopped yelling and ended up laughing and joking too. Before the red pill this would have sent her into a bad mood for a couple of days with her chipping away at me with many snarky and demeaning comments.

There have been others but this post is long. The common way I resolved the shit tests was for me not to lose my composure and not react to the button pushing and to tell her that she is not acting like an adult.

Results:

There are many small changes that are happening.

In conversation I told her, 'I'm leading and you follow'. This would have caused a fight before but now it was just accepted it.

The arguments have basically ceased now. My confidence is building so my decisions are getting better. My wife seems happier and the family is running so much smoother.

She doesn't double guess what I'm doing, she goes along with it.

She tells the kids to 'ask Daddy' if they want something. The kids have stopped getting mixed messages about what is required of them and they are better behaved and are much more thankful.

I've started working out again.
