So here’s the deal, I have just moved with my cohabitation gf and cohabitation is pretty new. This is the first place we got together.

She had a LOT of shit. Way more shit than I would even know what to do with. And I don’t know what to do with it all. I set up this move so that she would do most of the packing and unpacking with my muscle, I would do the actual move, and we’d go through stuff to throw away.

I did this in part because I’m a busy guy and so have had to continue to work and develop my businesses during this move. However, my gf has gotten progressively more disrespectful. She started complaining about how she was “doing it all” (of course ignoring my help). I took her at face value and so started trying to be more involved with unpacking.

Still, she is disrespectful angry that I’m not “doing it right” and in general throwing temper tantrums where she gets angry and is not on her best behavior. I’ve been trying my best to AM and shrug it off. Occasionally I’ve had to nuke. But no matter what I do, her behavior remains the same. She’s a walking emotional wreck (shark week).

Looking back, I can see that these aren’t shit tests, which I don’t have issues passing, but seem to be something else. If they are comfort tests she’s really pushed me away. This morning she told me I was being a “bitch” because she wanted to throw out my toaster oven and I told her “no.”

That disrespect was too much by half and so I told her I couldn’t work with her and I was leaving to do my other work. I told her I’d return later and if she was acting better we could get back to work.

It’s shark week on top of the move, and this behavior is driving me nuts. I’m not sure how much longer I can keep my cool. I don’t think expressing my anger and disappointment would help. I can’t take her off the job because her shit is 90% of the stuff and I want to toss 90% of her 90%. I’d spend my time asking her (1) do you want to throw this away?, and (2) where do you want it?

Any suggestions on what I should do?
