Hi all,

I had a boundary crossed with the wife today. She criticized me in front of a friend. Something along the lines of “nobody wants to work with him, he’s too bossy.” I had previously talked to her about this and she did it again. It was semi-playful but I didn’t appreciate it.

I went upstairs with her, told her it was not OK and a boundary, and she acknowledged it but tried to bring up excuses and pivot to complaints SHE has with my disrespectful behavior. I didn’t allow us to get sidetracked. And reiterated that this particular thing is not OK for me.

We had tentative plans for the next day with my family, and I canceled, instead saying I was taking our child out for the day.

I tend to wear my irritation on my face, though.

Is it still OK that I defended the boundary and took action (called off the plans before telling her) and seem a bit irate?
