Asking for things- and about things- is usually a bad idea. I'm gonna try to expand on the philosophy behind it (just from my experience mainly).

Asking for something (like a kiss) isn't necessarily "bad," but it's less effective than other options. In order from least effective to most effective, this is the hierarchy:

  1. Ask for a kiss. [You're allowing her to make a decision about something before it even happens. Why would she just say "yes" when all these biological and cultural influences are telling her to say "no"?]

  2. Ask if she wants to kiss you. [This is like Mystery's technique- the ball is still in your court because you're not being timid and the onus is on her. I've done it before, but I'm not a huge fan. You can get a bad reaction if your timing is off.]

  3. Tell her to kiss you. [This is a thousand times better because you're being assertive, dominant, and going for what you want. Still, you're letting her make a decision ahead-of-time. Her body might say yes but her brain might be saying no. Not good.]

  4. Just fuckin KISS her! [Also known as cavemanning, this is the best option, bar none, and it works the same way as Mystery's technique, only better. If she pushes you back but doesn't seem too offended, just pull back and then re-escalate. If she seems pretty put-off by it, know that you have some work to do, and just leave her if the situation calls for it. If she accepts it, you can probably be fucking her within the hour.]

This works for almost everything, beyond kissing. Overall, the reason it's best to just do something is because you're minimizing the chance that she reacts negatively. You're not giving her an option- as long as you've gauged some interest from her end, it's likely that she wants to kiss you anyway, so just go for it. There may even be times when she doesn't seem too interested but cavemanning still would've worked. Everyone likes to kiss.

Most guys are too afraid to do something like that- especially when said "something" is sexual in nature. That's because our society (at least in America) is fucking backwards and crazy. The media is afraid of rape and guys are afraid (understandably) of the backlash they might get for being "too forward." Keep in mind, this applies to everything, not just kissing. Also keep in mind, most fears aren't rational- they're just excuses that allow you to avoid doing something you're too afraid to do. Reality will show you that individual girls are NOT the media/society- in other words, they're gonna respond much better to assertiveness than our increasingly feminist culture would lead you to believe.

I only wanted to mention this because I dealt with something similar the other afternoon. I was fucking a fuck buddy of mine who isn't that great in bed- so I usually have to show her how to do shit (we don't see each other too often, so I can't just expect her to remember from last time).

She was on top, and when girls are on top they usually don't know what they're doing (at least from what I've seen). Now, when my dick is hard, it's HARD, meaning when a girl starts moving back and forth on top of me, she's usually bending my dick and it's uncomfortable.

I have nothing against communication during sex, but in my experience when you try to communicate your preferences and things like that, you can easily kill the vibe- just like any other time you try to ask for shit. It's better to tell her, or just do instead of talking at all. So instead of saying anything, I just pulled her down toward me and moved her forward (like past my head a bit) so I could just pound in and out. [Pro-tip: The girl usually likes that a lot more, too, so if you're ever in that situation- where she's just gyrating on top of you- try it out and see how she likes it.]

At that point, I thought it'd be a good idea to finger her ass a bit (don't judge me, bro). Problem is, girls usually aren't too experienced with ass-play. Lemme tell ya, anything is better than asking, in a situation like that. So I gradually moved my hand down to that area and tried to stick a finger in. She wasn't having it- I forget what she said, but it was basically "no," and she pulled my hand away. Instead of being put-off by it, I played the waiting game and tried again a bit later. Voila, no resistance, and she ended up loving it. Unfortunately, I was so turned-on I ended up cumming like two minutes later, but that's neither here nor there.

The doing thing works in a million other situations too. You cut down the chance of a bad response, you don't necessarily give her a choice in the first place, and you're being assertive/confident/dominant, which is always good. Just remember, you might be forgiven (and it's actually very likely you will be) for being too forward, but you'll hardly ever be forgiven for being too timid. Asking is timid, and it implies that you don't know what the fuck you're doing. So don't ask.

Overall, my point is if you just DO shit, you're much much much more likely to get a good response. Even if/when you get a bad response, you can usually just pull back and try again. Too many guys are too afraid to try shit in the first place, which is why they have to deal with cockblocks all the time, and can't get girls back to their place, and end up in the friend-zone after a couple hours because they didn't make moves (or watch some other guy pull the same girl with seemingly less effort), and end up getting dumped when they forgot to wear the pants in the relationship. Grow some balls and start doing shit instead of waiting for permission.
