My friend (f30) was invited to dinner with a group of her friends and brought me along. As soon as we got there one of her male friends started to flirt with me, sat next to me and wanted to talk to me all night. At first, I was not interested, but his confidence made me weak. He was not afraid to flirt, not afraid to show how into me he was. I’ve never met such an assertive person and it was so hot. Him not being afraid to put his arm around my chair, acted a little protective and when I asked where the bathroom was he got up and said let me walk you there.

To sum up: guys, don’t be afraid to take the lead, to flirt. Your confidence is the hottest thing out there. You obviously need to feel the situation and if she smiles and her energy is positive, then continue(use common sense). It went from me not being interested to actually attracted.

Update: so a lot of you say this would be creepy if the woman wasn’t at all attracted to him. OFCOURSE it would. Who in his right mind would continue being flirty when she isn’t responsive and seem bothered? I stated clearly in the last paragraph to use common sense and read between the lines. I was not bothered with him flirting even though I wasn’t interested. He is not my type, but look ok. If he wouldn’t flirt with me I would never end up being interested in him. Now we changed numbers and he mentioned taking me out on a date.

Update 2: and yes, he was not “bad looking”, he was ok but was not the “type” of guys I normally go for. Confidence won’t make a 1 go to a 10. It’s obvious that the looks play a role too. But it can make you climb a few steps, say he went from a 5 to an 8.
