When I was younger I suffered from social anxiety and low confidence. So I have never tried to pick up on girl irl. The only girls I have dated have come from online dating apps. Latetly I wanted to change this, so I would sometimes go to the mall or stores to see if I could find cute girls to ask out. Well today it finally happened, I went to Target to buy something and in the parking lot I see this cute blonde girl walking up to the car next to me. As she is opening her car I say "Hello, excuse me" her "yes?" me "I wanted to tell you that I think you're really cute" she tells me thank you smiling. I then ask for her name and I give her mine and we shake hands. I then ask her what she was shopping for? She tells me that she actually goes to the college down the street but leaves her car at the parking lot. I then jokingly say "Oh you're being sneaky, huh?" She laughs and says yes. I then ask her "So are you seing anyone?" She tells me yes, that she has had a boyfriend for 2 years. I then say how lucky he is. I finally say well it was nice meeting you, and to have a good rest of your day. She tells me thank you and gets in her car.

Considering I had never tried to pick up a chick before I was surprised at how calm and collective I was. I guess having a sales background really helped as I'm good at talking to people one on one. Now I will build on this and get better.
