I just went to my local Walmart to pick up some Apple Cider Vinegar and a new whiteboard and when I was leaving back into the parking lot to get to my car I saw her cute ass walking out too, and I had about 15 feet between us. I had saw that there was a car parked terribly holding two spots and instantly I said, "Please telll me that wasn't you" she looked at me then look at the car and started laughing and said, "uhh uhh that wasn't me I'm over here."

I then proceeded to went over taking off my mask smiling at her and just said, "Hey my names Matthew I just thought you were cute so I had to come and talk to you someway." She laughed and said her name and I asked her to tell me her life story in the next 2 minutes.

Now I know a Walmart parking lot isn't like the most ideal place to pick up girls, and if you're not careful you can come off as creepy or harassment. But shooters shoot! So what I did to combat this was just

-Have open arms (open arms =friendly behavior, they can see your hands)

- took my mask off and smile with my mouth eyes (Smiling is a great way to flirt and show friendliness)

-Tonality ( Loud and confident, in a joking manner when I asked her if that was her parking job)

-Reading her. (If her bodies not facing towards me she's or avoiding eye contact and turning her back, than those are obvious signs she aint feeling me lmao)

So ultimately we had talked and she goes to a college nearby, we both like the Mavs and we had a good conversation a lot of laughing and smiling about what she wanted to do in life! So when I walked her back to her car I pulled my phone out and said put your number in my phone, she smiled and put it in!

I then asked to take a picture, this was when she gave me a look and asked,"why?" I could tell she was a bit skeptical.

I told her, "it's to show our kids the first day we met"

She laughed and smiled and said ok.

Now ultimately I've been feeling a little rusty in cold approach, and it was stressing me a little bit. I know a lot of others feel similarly here in the subreddit so I thought It'd be valuable to share my story.

I think meeting a girl in person is still the strongest way to meet a girl, it trumps dating apps imo. Ultimately what was going thru in my mind when I asked her because I too had a little bit of social approach anxiety was, "Hey what's the worst that could happen?" "If she aint feeling me I can just walk away and say hey have a wonderful day!"

But I would hate my not approaching her and cowering away at the opportunity to approach a girl especially if it's been bothering me and I've been a little skeptical about approach lately! That fear would annoy me more than getting rejected! "If it isn't going to matter in the next 5 years, do it." That's the quote I live by!

The women in the pic is NOT relaxed. If you were having a great conversation and she felt comfortable she would not have gotten into the car and put her hands on the steering wheel. You should not hover in a women's car window. It's okay to introduce yourself and hand the girl your number in public in a cold approach (handing her your number when you are an absolute stranger makes her feel safe, she's in control of whether or not you two talk and she doesn't have to worry about a possible scary reaction if she turns you down) then get the hell out of there. It's a Walmart parking lot not a bar. She can't drive away without being rude. This is everything you should not do. That's not addressing the pic. It's not the right setting for that, especially because she's in her car and you are clearly invading her space and you have your mask down. Posting the pic here was disrespectful.

She's clearly not scared but I'd recommend keeping it short and simple when approaching in public places that aren't social functions and text her questions about her later.
