If a girl looks shy, nervous, quiet, etc, it means she is WAY INTO YOU. Like, much more than if she is super attentive and friendly.

I've noticed something similar too, especially when walking by girls.

If they look straight, sideways or up, they're likely not attracted/interested
If they look down, they're likely attracted/interested

That is consistent with visual accessing cues. Looking down is a cue of feeling/kinesthetic access.

I think you have to read more into the personalities. This is definitely a good IOI. But some people are suggesting that if a girl is flirty, open, attentive and friendly she might not be as into you. If a girl is very confident she isn't going to get shy and clam up if she likes you.

I think it is important to note the difference between "still keeping close proximity and avoiding eye contact" and "look of boredom, scanning the room". If she is avoiding eye contact but she is looking around the room as if she is trying to find a friend you might be in a poor position. If she is watching her shoes, playing with something in her hand or watching her drink but she sticks close to you then this is probably a very good sign.

I find the best moment is when they are looking down at their shoes with their head tilted down towards you. Then they look up with their eyes but keep their head mostly tilted downwards, maybe cocking slightly to the side. That is the "time to invite her back to my place" look.

Congratulations on the realisation of the cue to make your first real move. A lot of men don't notice it, which is a little sad, really.

Most women don't like making that first move, and that timid avoiding eye-contact thing they do is them using body language to show they are nervous about something. When you're in this context, that kind of nervousness means only one thing, "I want to kiss you, but I'd rather you kiss me."

When you get this cue, don't waste it (unless you don't have any interest). Other cues are women using seemingly nonsensical methods to keep some kind of conversation going / avoiding that nervous silence that can follow when you run out of things to say and just want to be kissed. Play fighting, speaking shit about nothing of any importance etc are good signs.
