Hell yeah man! Love to hear stories like this cause I used to be awkward af when I was younger. Your story shows that being confident in yourself and going with the flow are key. Getting the courage to ask a girl out is hard but it gets easier the more you do it. Just think about how much you would have regretted not taking a chance with her. I’m impressed and really happy for you. When you think about it, this is what success looks like for guys. $17 or whatever isn’t much but I don’t think that women look at it like - spent nearly $20 on something I didn’t need and got his number, awesome! I can’t complain too much because I realize now I did have a girl compliment me for no reason in the grocery store today. I was probably rude about it because we were all wearing masks and I wasn’t in the head space to flirtatiously hit it up with a girl who I might not be attracted to and I was basically just trying to gtfo of there. I was just about to complain about how the expectation is for guys to approach girls but just remembered I was approached by a girl today. I will savor thinking about it because that hasn’t happened to me in a very long time.

Honestly dude, this is awesome. I used to be afraid to talk to attractive girls and went through what you just went through. Once you realize the worst that can happen is they aren't interested (and most of the time will very politely say so) it gets easier and easier. I even have a fwb now! Crazy how things change! 21 is the best age to do it. Even less guys are doing it at your age so you stand out in a good way. I don’t like to much theory personally. I think it’s easy for guys to get stuck in their heads or tryna load of on fly like 20 things to do. Indifferently interested High value And hold frame is all you really have to portray and do I like false time constraint, push pull and qualify, disqualify through teasing works very well with my personality. I learned all this stuff through trial and warrior took years of my 20s and a lot of rejection. I didn’t believe in pua style stuff u til a couple years ago I noticed all the stuff I had learned that was working really well was stuff that was already laid out and named and all.

I do think it’s best to work on using one or 2 game technique at a time until you got it down naturally and smooth. That’s the scary part of all the theory is I feel like it could take you out of the moment and outA your body.

Congrats to o.p. Though the first few are the hardest. One piece of advice from my experience is I would talk to girls at the gym and flirt wi them but wait until you’ve got a little more comfortable and successful at approaching. Girls at the gym are receptive and you should def approach to flirt and talk with them sooner than later. While your developing your skills you might wanna consider flirting without agenda with them. Only for the reason if you get rejected by a few you don’t wanna be that guy all the girls are waiting to reject. Once you get more experience try and get the number on first approach if you like but you might wanna think about flirting for fun and experience and leave her wanting more. Don’t be their friend but you can be the guy they’re friendly with who wish they could sleep with and they’ll give you signals when they really like you as you keep talking to them. This is more of a social circle type of game like if you were in college. Also approaching bf girls doing cardio was much more successful for me. Doing weights is kinda hard to have a conversation. On cardio you know they’re not going anywhere and they are all Probably listening to the same music or watching the same tv show they’ve seen a million times. If she has headphones don’t be afraid to approach. I actually think it’s easier with headphones to read the girls interest level. If she don’t wanna be bothered or talk she’ll keep tryna put her headphones back on. She may take them back off but she’ll put them right back on after she answers. If she takes them all the way off to talk with you she’s pretty high interest. Half off and they stay half off she sorta interested. No matter the result act cool and if you do talk with her after about 20 min let’s say end your workout before hers and leave her wanting more. False time constraint works really well at the gym although it’s even better if your genuinely busy enough that it’s a real time constraint

Just my two cents. Honestly I don't have a clue about it, besides using hand moisturizer.

Oh and step back a bit. Why was your heart pumping? adrenaline rushing? These are usually fight or flight responses. You were in fear. Strange right? I know personally because I felt the same rushes talking to women. You were in fear that she'd reject you, the fact that you were "hunting" today to talk to a girl, means if she's blew you off you'd face pain, rejection, which you don't want to feel.
