In science and math a lot of scientists have "numbers", or equations/constants, named after them. For example, the Dalton Number, which measures atomic mass, founded by scientist John Dalton in 1803.

I've come up with my own equation. Call it mallardcove's number, or whatever. But this is the general concept:

n = The Number of Single Women In Your Area - Fat Single Women - Single Women with Tattoos - Single Women with Kids - Unattractive Single Women

Where, n = mallardcove's number, or the number of available female options out there for men who have standards.

For the first time since I moved to San Diego, I booted up my online dating apps. They've been dormant for over a year. Tinder, Bumble, and for the first time I ever, I launched a hinge account. Now the stereotype about Southern California is the number of attractive women, but I was stunned at how many uglies, fatties and red flags are out here. I feel like I had better women to choose from on these apps in Cincinnati, where I lived before moving here.

It's at this point I decided to do some research. I set my Tinder Gold setting to "Recently Active", Age 22-27, to get an unbiased sample of women and I recorded the statistics on the next 400 women I swiped through(with 400 being a statistically stable sample size).

It's a sad state of affairs when over half the women in this prime age range are fat, and nearly half of them have tattoos. And sadly most of these tattoos are hideous monstrosities, not single minor tattoos the size of a dime located on her ankle, but full sleeve tattoos or tattoos that cover her entire stomach or back or legs. That cuts your field in half right off the bat. About 1 in 9 have kids, but that's only those willing to admit it. It's likely higher(same with tattoos). About 1 in 6 are just plain obese - more than fat. One of every 16 ran the gamut - they are fat, have tattoos, and have a kid. Women with no visible red flags at all - not fat, no tattoos, no kids - Only 14.8% or about 1 in 7. But only 1 of 6 of these women I found attractive enough to give a right swipe to. I only right swiped 10 of the 400 profiles I came across. Which sounds about right - in San Diego, there are a ton of Hispanics, which do not do it for me.

So what's the point of this post? Because to this point it just sounds like MGTOW garbage.

The point is the 10 women I swiped right on - are the most desirable women out there. They have a metric shit ton of male options. I was probably one of hundreds if not thousands who swiped right on their profiles.

These are the women who fuel the AFC fire. An AFC is different from an incel. An incel is a guy I consider to be a 2 or worse in the looks department. AFCs are what I consider to be male 6-8s. Male 6-8s have it worse than incels in my opinion. Because they are above average men. Yet, because women chase men upward, not equal or downward, female 6s-8s do not give these guys any attention. A male 8 might get some attention from a female 6, but the male 8 is usually not interested because she is slightly above average while the male 8 is in the top quarter of men. So the male 6-8 is forced to settle for an average(or worse) woman despite being above average themselves, or not get anything at all. Because the female 7s-8s are chasing after the Top 20%(Male 9 and 10s).

The non incel, non AFC(Male 3s-5s) know their place, and are fine with settling for the below average women. The Male 0-2s are incels and resign themselves to loneliness and will be happy to get anything at all. The Male 9s and 10s have their pick of the litter, for the most part. But the Male 6s to 8s? These are the ones in no man's land.

So what do you do if you find yourself in no man's land? The first thing you do is you don't settle or compromise your standards. I commend men for not settling or compromising. This is what skews the sexual marketplace in the first place. The 2nd thing you don't do is settle for post wall women. These male 6 to 8s are what the post wall women go to when they exit the carousel. A lot of these male 6 to 8s are told just to wait until you are in your 30s and you will have your pick of women also in their 30s. Yeah, no. While this is completely true - you can easily have your pick of post wall women "ready to settle down" in their 30s, but its a consolation prize. Do you really want to settle for damaged goods?

This sub preaches self improvement, and while that is the way to go, every man has a hard ceiling. I don't think you can be a male 10, for example, unless you have some kind of extra boost like status, being a celebrity or pro athlete or a shit ton of money. A male 9 is the ceiling for most men, but getting their can be difficult if not impossible.

Do your best to maximize yourself - look the part. Lift, eat right, dress well, take care of yourself. Then, be patient. You'll get opportunities with women that fall into "mallardcove's number" if you put yourself in the right places and situations. You'll get your chances. And when you do, act the part. You may not look the part of a male 9 or 10, but if you can act the part of a male 9 or 10, you have a shot.

The problem is most men aren't patient enough. They want the women who fall into mallardcove's number NOW, and get upset when it doesn't happen right away. They also don't act the part - when they get their chance, their frame crumbles at the first sign of any challenge. They pedestalize these women, and go full retard when they get the door open and then slam the door on themselves. And the AFC cycle continues. Act like you've been there before.

I consider myself to be a male 8.5. I have the facial looks, the muscle, the shredded physique. What holds me back is my frame. I have a small frame. I am 6'1 but just have a small frame. Despite years of lifting and being a Division 1 football player, I've reached my genetic muscular potential(or close to it) at 170 pounds. I'm shredded at single digit body fat and muscular, but I just am not big. I feel this is what is keeping me from being a male 9 on paper. But in person, I am able to pull women that fall into mallardcove's number by acting the part. Acting the part allows the woman I am interacting with to add that additional 0.5 onto my SMV to move me into 9 territory in her eyes. Acting the part takes a rock solid frame and a lot of practice.

Don't fall into the endless cycle of being an AFC. Take care of yourself, put yourself in the right places, be patient, and you'll get your chances. When you do get those chances, its all on you, and you have no one to blame but yourself at this point.
