I also did bulk, but then I overtrained doing too much volume. The problem is not tuning in 1 variable at the time. I agree that deadlifts alone is not enough. I do little volume on deadlift. But nothing fries my forearms like deadlift. on top of that I do heavy weighted chinups and yates rows and overhead pressing. Having a good physique is 1 part of your SMV. while I love lifting. I love lifting efficiently. You get far more pussy if you got many areas of your life covered as opposed to using too much time in the gym. Start to isolate neck will be a distraction. I think squat and deads also train the neck to some degree, atleast they seem to do so for me - I have never done neck training and I am not a pencil neck. bodyweight work is not high intensity. intensity is not measured by muscle burn or anything like that. You are working at too low a % of your 1 rep max for everyhing except your shoulders with handstands. You can get very jacked shoulders and as they say shoulders make the physique. if you compare to gymrats that bench too much and overhead press too little you see why gymnast bodies look so great, take away the shoulders and it's not impressive.
