I think some of it is a bit of a joke by the girlfriend, I think she's just pointing out through some tongue in cheek humour that he shouldn't spend too much time playing games and forget about his responsibilities.

EDIT: I just want to say to everyone who's responded to me saying otherwise that I do quite regularly come into this subreddit and yes there are in-equality issues facing men but I firmly believe this submission has no place in this subreddit.

My only comment to whether or not the rules are written to be a joke or were written seriously is that we don't know the context. We have one little piece of the whole thing and most of the comments about it are based on personal experiences.

That being said, I don't think it is fair for the arguments that formed in the comments. I mean seriously guys, you don't actually know for sure what happened or what the context is; you can only guess as to what happened.
