My point exactly. Women don't get paid less when it comes to risky, dangerous, difficult or high-flying/high-stress jobs. They get paid less only when performing works involving manual labour -- yes, paid less, just like the men in those fields.

Here's the deal though: feminists complain as if all women are paid significantly less than men. This isn't true, and it's one of the usual feminist lies. Again, women only get paid less when it comes to simple labour -- and even then, statistically so only because they tend to take more leaves (sick, emergency, maternity), have a higher turnover rate (more of them leave employment compared to men), and their numbers aren't as many (men must work, but women have a choice to work, especially if they're married or being parasites and leeching off some rich guy, etc).

Also, consider this: women tend to be less competent than men, even in simple jobs. Given that understanding, why the fuck we even hire women comes to question. They should just stay in the kitchen, prepare sandwiches and give us men blowjobs.

Women, statistically, work fewer hours, take more time off, and work less overtime than men. Also, many of them take extended time off from their careers to raise children. Don't you think that could be a factor?
What makes you think women are the only group that experiences sexism in the world? I have been told twice, by women, that "female candidates are preferred" for positions I was applying to. (My job is a professional marketing services position.) I've also experienced bias in the workplace, from women, who didn't like the fact that I was unmarried. And, I've experienced bias, from women, because they thought I was gay. (I'm not, not that there's anything wrong with that.)
Women control the majority of wealth in the United States, and have earned the majority of secondary and postsecondary degrees. Who is oppressing them?

Would love to hear your insightful response.

I agree, generally, with the need to relax gender roles. Part of the problem is that gender roles have been relaxing for women (in some ways), so that women with families who work are socially accepted (in most places) or even expected to work, but not for men, who are expected to "man up" and support their families no matter what. I hear lots of women telling their husbands, "I'm going to stay home with our kids, and that's the way it's going to be." I don't hear nearly as many men telling their wives the same. In fact, it's usually the other way around, the wife telling him, "I've worked too hard to get where I am, so you stay home with the kids." I'm not saying this last is commonly heard in most families, but if you take situations where the father plays house-husband, it's almost always the wife calling the shots. I see it a lot in LA among lawyers and other high-earning professionals.

What I'm talking about is this seeming expectation that employers either keep positions open indefinitely for a woman who might or might not come back to work, or to hire a woman after months or years of of the workforce over a more qualified applicant with more recent experience. Sure, it's great if the employer is in a position to do either of those things, but failure to do them is not sexism, it's just good business.

However, it seems like more often than not, that's not what's being referred to when "sexism" is cited for a cause of the raw wage gap.

When I talk to various feminists about the wage gap, and I point out that many women choose family over career, they say that the fact that so many more women than men "choose" family over career is evidence of sexism. I will concede they may have a point, but how would you ever know?

There is much research about differences between the way men and women process information and approach problems. It's convenient to ignore or discount it for the sake of political correctness but that's a severe mistake.

For one of many examples in management women focus on people more whereas men focus on situations.

For another men are better with spacial relations and logic and women better with intuitively understanding psychology.

Don't downvote me until you actually look at the research that has been done on these topics, and I mean recent, properly done, double blind studies.

Feminism in academia has done a lot to lend selection bias so be sure to drill down to the actual numbers and results found.

EDIT: I'm amused at how many of you assumed I'm misogynist when you heard I'm sexist.

The voting rights act was in 1965. That allowed blacks to be part of the voting system.

EDIT: I left a concept half described. Sorry. The blacks got the right to vote finished in 1965 with the voting rights act but they got the right to vote started by the fifteenth amendment in 1870. Women got the right to vote in 1920 nationally with the nineteenth amendment.

So, we opted to allow blacks to vote which is good and right but long before we had slavery we had women. So it's counter intuitive that long before women had the right to vote, a smaller disenfranchised minority got the right to vote.

This phenomenon of recognizing race problems before gender problems continues in politics. We have a black president before a female president even though women represent a larger "minority". So this is a surprise unless we consider that women do not have a fair playing field.

It's also never because in the business world you also need a personality that people would want to have around them. I own a car lot, and a woman, right from the jump--I hadn't said a word yet to her, said to me, "I know you think you are going to take advantage of me because I'm a woman. Well you can just f-ck off with that. I know what I'm doing and I'm sick of men treating me bad because they think they are smarter than me" I processed that for a second and said very calmly, "Have I said anything to you where that kind of language towards me was warranted? Is it possible that people treat you in a way you don't care for is because you act just as you did before they've even had a chance to speak?" I got an "f-ck you" look from her in response, so I said that I appreciated her stopping by, but I choose not to do business with people that speak to me that way went back into the building.

It makes me think of a Chris Rock bit, it's a little of topic but kinda applies; He was speaking to a black man that kept going on how all these white people hated him because he was black. Chris' response was, "Is it possible they don't like you because you're an ass h-le?"
