I just finished the first episode and after seeing the treatment it has of women, I’m not sure if I should continue.

I know it’s supposed to be a thriller but there’s a couple of scenes that I feel like wouldn’t have happened if the female character was a man. It kinda seems like the violent scenes that happen to women are simply due to the fact that they’re women.

And I’m not talking about the whole red light green light game where female players get shot. (Spoiler alert) I’m mainly talking about the scene where one of the women gets beaten up by a guy only for the male lead to get into her face and harshly grab her because she stole his money. There were also scenes where the female players were getting hit along with the male players. It’s something that I’m against and don’t find equal due to obvious reasons but the guy who did hit them is the antagonist so I’m not sure if I should be that put off by it.

And from what I heard, a lot of Korean women are calling it sexist too.

But it’s a very popular series and well liked by a lot of people and a bunch of my friends did recommend this to me which is why I’m feeling like I should give it another chance and not judge the entire series just by the first episode.

I admit that I did kinda like it at first but along the way my opinion started to change and now I’m wondering if I should finish it or drop it. I’m really wondering if it improves as the series progresses.

I’m hoping to hear your opinions and thoughts on the series. Is this an fds approved series and is it worth watching? Thanks!
