So I love getting ready and dressing up real cute to go out. As an introvert I don't like going to a lot of social events, but when I do — oh, Imma look cute.
The thing with dating however is that there is strategy involved with how you dress up. As you know, some men blame assault victims for their trauma by saying "well... what were you wearing?" As a way to justify abuse.
Outfits for men can either dictate whether or not a woman is "DTF" or not. Gross, right?
As many women on this sub has explained that women go all out when it comes to looking good on a date... where as their date comes looking like they just rolled out of bed or don't know what a belt is.
I learned that I shouldn't dress my absolute best on a first or even second date. Doesn't mean you can't look good, but it's also important to reward high value traits by "upping" the quality of how you look based on the time someone has invested in you. Almost as if you are peeling back more and more of how good look you can look as time goes on.
So for example, first date I wouldn't be wearing my body-con dress that makes me hips look really nice. I would maybe wear tights, a skirt and a cropped sweater and low heeled boots to keep things my style, feminine and cute but not overly show-ey of my body. I'd keep my makeup to a "no makeup-makeup look". Basically give your date the basic taste of what you are capable of, and work your way up.
But as time goes on, I would start wearing nicer, more expensive jewelry, and show more skin. The strategy isn't to impress your date but reward them with better versions of you — but that's only if they are consistently with being a HVM.
Don't sacrifice the good dior foundation, skin tight dress and high heels from the get go. Some outfits will have their moment — but only when they have been showed by action — that they are valued.
